Chapter 4: Skolas and the Citadel The bottom of the spire was filled with Fallen Wolves and Vex. The latter was coming from every angle through teleportation, eventually resulting in a larger Vex appearing. This Vex was a hydra, the guardian of the spire. The Fallen fell back closer to the spire and guarded it as much as they could, but they were being pelted with Vex fire. I ran to Maya, who was taking cover by a large rock. “How many are there?” “Dozens. We may have to just run for it.” “Can we make that?” “Possibly.” Maya yelled at the others that we were all going to sprint for the spire. Vex responded to our voices by forming a protective wall. We ran as fast as we could and used everything we had to break through the wall. The Hydra was vaporized and the other Vex broke apart. We reached the spire. We ascended the spire and came out near the top of the Citadel. A large blue light appeared in front of us and made a bridge using the Citadel’s platforms. On the other side, floating in air, was a large Fallen Wolf Ketch. Wolf banners in front of it swayed in the wind. We walked across the bridge when all of a sudden, a voice cried out in worry. “Guardians, Wolf signatures have tripled, they are coming from a different timeline!” Fallen Wolves dropped in from the same way Vex arrive. Dozens of them ran out as like crazed maniacs while others stood back and sniped. We fought through them until a roar stopped it for a moment. A large Fallen (presumably the Kell we were looking for) stood and yelled at us. “YOU HAVE COME TO STOP ME?? I AM SKOLAS, FALLEN KELL OF KELLS!! I HAVE STOLEN THE GIFT OF FREEDOM!! SECRETS OF SPACE AND TIME!! THE HOUSE OF WOLVES WILL STAND, FOREVER!!!” We stood as Maya suddenly leaped at him and punched him right in the face. The Fallen House of Wolves started firing again. Ven and Daniel stood back, telling me to help Maya. I nodded and ran to Skolas and Maya. I jumped on Skolas’s back and kicked him in the head. He fell on the ground and growled. A red light shone over him. We looked up as a ship hovered over a dormant Vex gate. Fallen skiffs came up from behind it and picked up the remaining Fallen. Skolas was lifted up and captured. “That was surprisingly easy,” I said. Suddenly a Fallen Skiff shot at me, sending me flying into a wall. A Fallen Captain came out and grabbed me, then proceeded to drag me into the Skiff as Vandals fired on the rest of the team to keep them out.
