Armor vanity slots?
Should Bungie add vanity slots to the game?
For those who don't know... A vanity slot is where you equip a piece of armor to appear on the character, but receive the light level and perks from the armor that is actually equipped in the normal slot. So if you have a fugly piece of armor with good perks, you can just make it look like the armor you actually like.
Edit: Many people are making the point that it wouldn't be good for PvP. It would make it difficult to strategize if all your enemies' true armor (and it's abilities) weren't visible. Vanity slots would have to be for PvE only.

1 ReplyWhile I don't think this is really an urgent thing, if it is brought into the game they deff shouldn't charge for it. I feel like Bungie has to mend some bridges with the community, especially those who have stuck around for their game since year one... I really want this game to be great, but all of these empty "weekly updates" are really REALLY making it hard to take the developer seriously.

2 RepliesI say "YES!". Only objection is for exotics in PVP. If you see a hunter with celestial nighthawk, but he's really got on the 4 golden gun shots, then it's very misleading.

For your edit na the vanity slots would not appear when inspecting and exotics could not be equipped as vanity items anyway for obvious reasons

It's work in pvp if you have all the perks from the actual gear show as the perks of the "vanity" gear

Vanity Slots would make PVP challenging because no more peeking... I'd say PVP it works perfectly.

Artifacts should be vanity items. They should be worn like jewelry or charms or trinkets, or provide auras or other effects

Just have it to where you can't equip vanity items over exotics. Nor can you equip exotics in the vanity slot.
