Destiny is plagued by RnG then any game I've ever seen and frankly it does nothing but annoy the hell out of everyone. Instead of the constant grind we all do only to come up empty handed and frustrated as hell time its time for a change. For one give ranks an actual purpose. Being rank 50 means nothing at all in this game. Only rank 3 has an actual purpose and its that u can buy everything they are selling now. Besides that nothing and that should not be the case. At rank 50 with any faction u should looked at an extremely important member. Instead its just oh hey any recruit or follower. No more of that. Heres how to give ranks meaning with factions. Specific Rewards are given at a Specific Rank Ships and Shaders are non existent right now with certain factions. Cryptarch especially. After ranking up from 3 to 56 in year 2 you'd think I'd get the year 2 ship with new monarchy. Instead useless damn weapons I could care less about. For now on FWC, Dead Orbit, and New Monarchy need to work in this fashion. Rank 3 Uncommon Emblem Rank 5 Uncommon Emblem and First Shader Rank 10 Rare emblem and 2nd shader Rank 20 Rare emblem and year 1 ship Rank 25 Exotic quest, Legendary emblem and 3rd shader Rank 35 Legendary Emblem and 4th Shader Rank 45 Year 2 ship For those who have these ranks and dont have rewards should be rewarded them every time they rank up till they are at the corresponding rewards for their rank. No one like myself should have to get to rank 74 with a faction like i had to with dead orbit to get almost everything. Still missing the 2 year 1 ship but since their the same thing I didnt bother. Still annoying as hell im that high up and dont have everything. And I know their are people in worst state then I am there and just knowing that is just maddening. Cryptarch First off do year 2 shaders even drop? I have not seen anyone wearing these at all! So just like factions specific rank grants specific reward. Every 15 ranks a shader is given as a reward. Starting from 0. So 0-15 15-30 30-45 etc. Just like factions if u are rank lets say 96 and only 1 shader given out by cryptarch packages then u get 3 shaders for the next 3 ranks so ur at the right amount of rewards for ur rank. With the emblems have them drop every 15 as well. So its either shader or emblem. Vanguard and Crucible Shaders from crucible and vanguard strike playlist are very rare. To be honest I have yet to seen anyone much like the cryptarch ones wearing any from crucible playlists. Nor have I seen a single crucible ship drop. Since we cant give mats to level up these 2 like other factions instead for these every 15 Heroic Strikes and 20 won crucible matches of any kind, not including Trials or IB, a legendary ship, emblem, or shader is dropped. I say 20 crucible matches cause some games can be a lot faster then strikes especially with mercy rule being a thing. Keeping tracks of wins can be no problem at all. Give us a book like the one from SRL BUT this one is for free. No charging silver for this. Trials This one is simple. Anytime u get to Lighthouse the chest will drop of of the shaders or ships. I do not include emblems here because those are not as rare and everyone is after scarab not the ones with the eye ball on it. And yes u have go get to lighthouse to get these. I may not like trials but I do see these as being very special rewards and should be given to those who have gotten to the lighthouse. Iron Banner Since there are only 2 ships here granted through RNG this one is gonna have to be a little different. Every 25 wins u get one of the 2 ships. I know thats a lot but the wins carry over from one event to another. So no reset when event ends for the month. I know destiny is built upon grinding so keep weapons and gear still as rng based. But for cosmetics lets us earn those through progression. A little reward for all the grinding and playing we do. I don't believe thats too much ask for.
