Chaperone lovers need to show the love!
Cozmo stated that he uses chaperone;
Now he uses the ones with range because the past nerf to movement speed leaves chaperone feeling underwhelming!

Chaperone is still a great gun and even tho it feels more like a trophy you can't say the same after using it correctly, even after the nerf it still feels really great but wait why do sum head shots count as a miss or body shot? Where dose the bullet go?

Below is all the evidence I can find within the forms from ppl who used the chaperone longer then I have, for me it was a trophy! ( who needs head shots with a shotgun?)
But then I picked it up and it blew my mind as a shot gunner constant headshots were just instinct and needed no practice at all just the will to aim for said headshots!

Buff chaperone. When road bound is active it should increase damage further for head shots and put back a round or two every head shot. Head shots should stack damage with built in crowd control

Shotpackage should have been this particular weapons intrinsic perk. Rangefinder and its Exotic Perk for both Tier 2 and 4. If they wanted people to only get headshot kills with this thing to do any actual damage, as evident in more then 1 weekly update, the above should have been obvious from the start. I get that they did not want another "Felwinters" situation...but when you practically require Headshot Kills to make this shotgun work? What the hell do you expect us to say? Good concept, bad execution...

1 ReplyThanks for posting - the chaperone needs a BUFF. The last perk is useless. It should refill ammo with every kill or head shot kill while road bound is active. Or while active heads hits return a round or two even. Activating it and then getting a head hit doesn't happen that often.

I thought the chaperone felt a bit funny. Some head shots didn't count or I was shooting spit balls. The range seemed underwhelming.

I commented about this a long time ago and the community told to stop crying, that the shotgun was still effective... the funny thing about the shotgun is that I hated it at first. I thought it was trash, and I bashed Bungie on the forums for "giving us such a cheap reward for a difficult quest line." I was blind. That anger quickly diminished as I began to use it, but then Bungie went and nerf it. And know I really do feel it's a cheap reward for such a hard quest.

But after the nerfs, etc. there's just no incentive for me to go do a Thorn-level 'Nightfall' Strike against The Brothers... When I [i]have[/i] to use a Shotgun, but those just got nerfed AGAIN after losing the bulk of their PvE damage for no apparent reason. By the Shotgun stipulation alone it's a much harder objective than Thorn's Quest, for a [i]lesser[/i] reward. And that's why the Quest hardly appeals to anyone at all. Bungo doesn't make sense to me anymore. At this rate, I can't even pretend I'm still faithful. I've got a ton of doubts that are hinging on their next dose of balancing patches. The problem is we need them soon, but we also need them to be right more than anything. And I'm starting to wonder if that's even possible for Bungie.
