Remove skill based match making.
It's not working and it won't work. Stop being complete retards and get rid of it. It is the single worst decision I've ever seen a game company make.
Edit: I'll admit I was pretty pissed off when I posted this and I apologize for coming off as ignorant. I don't suggest removing SBMM solely because I want to "wreck noobs", I want it removed because [b]in my experiences[/b] it has been nothing but lag and sweat. Yes, I am a pretty damn good pvper, but that doesn't mean I can do well against people of my skill level that are red barring their asses off; 85% of my games since they implemented SBMM have been so laggy that sometimes there is literally nothing I can do to come out on top in PvP engagements...it's not fun.
SBMM also doesn't always match players with who it should. I have a 1.79 kd (was 1.99 before SBMM) with roughly a 55% win rate (was 65% before SBMM). Just yesterday, I was matched not once, but two games in a row against |-_-MACM-_-| and his clan mates from DETONATION...to say they annihilated the team I was on would be [u]the understatement of the century.[/u] In the last 2 months, I have played against tripleWRECK, Luminosity48, AstDroid, The-Managator+RESOLUTE (to be fair I beat them in IB, and they beat me in trials), and several other streamers/top players. I'm good, but I'm not as good as many of the players I am matched up with...so please don't take what I say as me complaining that I can't wreck low skill players.

I'm tired of sweating and trying so hard every match, let the noobs learn how to play the game like I had to learn how to play it! Just remove it please! Just give what the community wants were all tired of SBMM and trying every match! The only time sweat should come is in the banner but not in regular crucible!! JUST REMOVE SKILL BASED MATCHMAKING!!! FOR -blam!-S SAKE!!! JUST REMOVE IT!!!!!!

Just a couple of points: Sbmm does not mean lag and sweaty games for all players. The lag seems to mainly affect top tier players. Cbmm meant sweaty games for players of lesser skill. Now they get a chance for non-sweaty matches Unfortunately there has to be a wide range of skill levels pulled into a single band for matchmaking at the top end, especially if you want to reduce lag by including a cbmm element into matchmaking as well as sbmm. I think Bungie have been expanding the skill range for matchmaking as part of their "tweaks" to the system to reduce lag in sbmm

The biggest issue with SBMM that I have is that I constantly get matched with a guy from some cave in turkadurkastan with a red-bar connection, who's not only as good as I am....but also teleports around the map making the game un-winnable. You shoot where you see him, but he's not there anymore and BAM you're dead. I've worked really hard to get my K/D where it is, and I'd like to get it higher, but I can't.......not because of skill but because of SBMM.

13 RepliesAdd two options for PVP modes 1. Ranked (SBMM) 2. Unranked (Connection Based) Add geo filters to both modes so that players can opt out of connecting with players playing from the International Space Station. SBMM is helping a lot of lower skilled and low KD players have fun and actually succeed in PVP so this voice should not be ignored. Similarly better players should have the option to choose the style of game they enter. Once you revert everything back to CBMM low skill players go back to getting pub stomped which is not a solution either.

If you fall in the category of having a higher kd/win ratio chances are you are going to get people from other countries as the majority of the players are at the lower end. However, if you fall on the end of a lower kd/win ratio you get better connections as it is easier to find people within your country due to more people around that level. Now, I have to agree with the OP. As I am someone with a higher kd. (Not nearly close to being highly skilled however I sit at a 1.60kd.) See, when someone with KDs like mine goes into any type of match making in the crucible. We no joke get teams in parties who flawless almost on a weekly biases. (People who quick scope. In your face rushing. Pretty much the best of the best in a way and they are always from different countries with red bars.) So, this is pretty much Bungie's way of ruining the fun of those with higher kds. Every game is sweaty. Every game you need to be on your top game other wise you will fall down at the bottom of the list fast. I can understand those who are not as good wanting SBMM in however what you guys need to understand is. The majority of the population is not at a high kd. In fact it is such a low percentage of people at a higher kd that going into pvp without SBMM chances are you are going to get people around your level anyways. (Just like how it was before it was added.) Though, I do understand those are a lower skill level want an easier time. However, the real question is why do those at a lower skill get to have the easier games when people of higher skill have to constantly play at their top notch in order to actually do decent in the crucible. Which in no means makes the game fun. The real question behind this is, why are they punishing those who do good in Destiny? Specially, seeing how if you do good in Destiny bottom line is you really care about Destiny and the direction it goes in. All that is doing is getting those who are good at shooters to want to move onto other games. Specially, since most other shooters do not have a SBMM system in it.

I can't understand why this is in the game at all. The pairing system should be random so, in theory, you should get paired with good people 50% of the time and bad people the other 50% of the time. My K/D isn't great and it probably never will be but I'm just getting fed up with red bars and teleporting opponents all the time. Really fed up being sniped from people that appear after I'm dead. I'm happy to get stomped on by someone that is better than me, rather than losing matches because they have employed Dr Who to transport them back and forward through time each match.

I agree SBMM should be removed!!! 100%. I suck and always get linked up with try hards, very annoying. Use to love playing PVP, but with bungie deciding to link me up with sweaty players has drained all the fun out of the game.
