Edited by Woodsman_24: 2/16/2016 12:58:37 PMI think the reason for the complaints, at least in my experience, is Sunsinger Warlock's in Yr1 didn't stack those perks so it was uncommon to see that build. Now every Sunsinger you run into seems to run firebolt+touch of flame+viking funeral, and just spam their grenades. This was glaringly obvious in CD where a thorn was used followed by a quick firebolt toss after, or vice versa. Every Sunsinger, or doubles of Sunsinger, ran that and both would spam that nade. and wrap up with a shot from Thorn. Typical builds I encountered in Yr1 were HoPF with extending Radiance with an additional grenade or Sunbreaker gloves with this build and Solar Flare Grenades with ToF and extension of Radiance. Are the annoying? Yes. Are they overpowered? Probably not. But like everything else in this game, when you use something past the point of exhaustion the developers raise an eyebrow investigate the new trend, and wham here is your nerf.

It was literally unbeatable. Why do you think fire bolt grenades got nerfed before? I was unaware that viking funeral got a small ninja buff. However, firebolt grenades have been ridiculously OP ever since that filthy combo was discovered. Don't gloat about your 1300 hours played, it doesn't mean anything if you don't know what you're talking about.

Really not true? Then why in year 1 did I have a team of all of us hunters and used arcbolts and did that exact strategy. I went flawless 49 times in year 1 using that strategy alone.

Warlocks(sun singers in particular) have always been a problem because of flame shield being extremely good, and super long burns on firebolt, but back in year 1 hunters were the gods of pvp so they didn't have to worry to much about warlocks, now all the classes have gotten nerfed except sun singers, so now they playing that class is like going into a track race while your opponents have all been shot in the knee.

Lol your argument is an ability on one sub class can counter the grenade, therefore it isn't op. That basically goes against balance since you have to play 2 sub classes in order to have a chance

They went from 97 to 85...BUUUUT, Viking Funeral got a ninja buff and now burns for an additional tick of damage. In regards to how they're used, they only lost 5 damage. Not complaining about them, just clarifying it. :) [spoiler]People only started whining when Trials of Osiris came by, because Sunsingers were always a great Subclass for 3s. They're bad everywhere else.[/spoiler]

well they were about as good as quickdraw blink in year 1, it just went under radar for most people.
