So last night (Saturday, February 6th, In the AM) I was taming a level 4 female carno because I would like to start farming carno eggs. I am level 72, and have quite a few 100+ mounts (including a Direwolf that tamed at 164 because of kibble), im not a noob lol. While taming this carno, I saw chat blow up, starting with some guy summoning the broodmother (boss) at green tower. Now, for those unaware, when a boss is spawned, it doesnt despawn, and will wander the server, wrecking everything until it is finally killed. This was personally a big deal because I have friends in another tribe who live really close to the green obelisk where the broodmother was summoned. The guy who summoned the broodmother was clearly a scrub as he only had a pteranodon, sabertooth, and an argentavis. Im assuming he took the artifacts needed to summon the boss from a player who quit. This guy didnt even help kill the boss. All the major tribes in my server got together to clean up this dudes mess, and it was a serious challenge because nobody was prepared at the time. I was taming that carno for maybe half an hour into the battle before the taming was done, and the broodmother apparently regenerated pretty much all of its health after a really short time. Im assuming too many people backed off at once to get stamina, food, or health. Anyways, I carried my new carno home with my quetz and then flew to green obelisk with 3 100+ pteranodons after I emptied my fridges of raw meat to literally feed the battle (I shared at least 500 raw meat with the public). One of my tribe members was already there fighting with his 100+ pteranodon, and so many others were there. We fought for maybe half an hour after I got there. There must have been at least 4 argentavis', 3 pteranodons, 3 rexs, and a spino; all jumping this boss at a time, not to mention the other players shooting rifles and crossbows from a distance. I was delivering so much sustained damage, switching between pteranodons whenever mine was low on health or stamina. It finally died at 3am EST, and everyone was so happy. Someone even pulled out a flare-gun and popped it like fireworks lol. My server has never been so united. All the major names usually get along, but now we all respect eachother greatly I think. I now refer to these tribes as the governing tribes of my server: Forgotten Gods Tribe of Zen Big-D clan The Dodo's Dojo Sovereigns yKnawmsayn (my tribe) Shovl Crew Tribe of HULK Other governing tribes who didnt happen to be online: Why So SeRioUz (or something like that) Dragons Den Trading Co. (One guy came online, but was only on the way when the boss went down) It was badass. Theres icing on the cake too, Big-D clan found a lvl 104 male rex for me, which I had been hunting for for 3 days (i wanted a 100+ rex, but 120 female would have been the best). They spotted it maybe 15-20 minutes after our success with the broodmother. I immediately headed for it and solo-tamed it using kibble. Its black and red, and it tamed at around level 150 because of that taming effectiveness. Last night on Ark was so awesome.. Official Xbox server (PvE) btw :)
