Looking at picking up ds2 at game stop and saw 2 names scholar of first sin and crown of sunken king. Which do I buy first if I want to try out the game?

Scholar of the First Sin is the Next Gen version that has all of the DLC included and revamped enemy/item placements. That Crown of the Sunken King thing is merely one of the DLc's so you'll want to pick up Scholar itself instead.
