Yesterday I played a few games of Rumble and Skirmish, hoping to test the "new" matchmaking priorities, and half of my opponents were from Europe, Asia, and South America. Game one: UK, Spain, France, and two empty slots at round start. I stopped after a game that had 0 players from the United States: UK, Poland, Russia, Italy, Finland.
I do not care how uneven the matches are; these are casual games, not league matches. Stop connecting high-skill players across continents. Destiny feels like a turn-based RPG with pings this high.

It's not across countries that causes the problem, it's people with third-world internet connections. I regularly play UK to USA on PC, no problems whatsoever, 100ms ping, the laggers in crucible have ping that if it was on PC would show as being 2,000-5,000ms (up to five whole seconds) which would either get you kicked or temporally banned on most other games. I play with a few friends in the USA on PS4 again no problems, but they don't have dial up as their connection so it works fine. USA to UK, Western Europe, Scandanavia or even Australia should be reasonable as long as they aren't on useless connections.
