When a warlock gets their super, the Tlaloc's exotic perk activates. It's RoF increases, along with its stability. So it becomes a Mida firing archetype with a Vision of Confluence style impact. A super fast, hard hitting, killing machine. This gun is beautifully made with a great exotic perk. Why isn't Fabian Strategy doing the same thing? When Fabian Strategy's perk activates, it changes the RoF AND impact. It goes from the Hard Light archetype damage (16 damage body shot, and 20 damage on a crit) to the Doctrine of Passing archetype damage. Why can't it keep the impact it has? It doesn't change the TTK by an alarmingly amount. It doesn't make it OP. The Tlaloc is a monster when used right, and the Ace of Spades is an exotic Fatebringer without the elemental burn. The Fabian Strategy is a great idea of a gun poorly executed. If you go to Destiny Tracker, and look up the usage of exotic auto rifles, you'll find it on the bottom. I want this gun to be known not as a sad excuse of an exotic slot, but as a good choice for someone who can use auto rifles well. Does anyone else think the same?
EDIT: My mistake guys, wasn't sure about the impact. It's been fixed.

just imagine the ttk on it if you do that i'd love to use it but people say dactorine is op now what will they be saying if this happens
-
If you ask me the gun was intended to be used in PvE hence its perks. Bonus damage after a kill, chance to restore health and bonus to Rof at close range. All while still being able to use all your other skills. Those all sound like amazing perks for PvE. Not every gun needs to excel at PvP. Tlaloc on the other hand requires you to give up using your super and even then it's only slightly better then Mida in both PvE and PvP.
-
Well, Bungie definitely has it out for Titans. I honestly doubt they'll make the Fabian Strategy worthy of being called an exotic.
-
All Fabian needs is a slightly larger magazine and Counterbalance.
-
Wrong impact archetype for tlaloc. It's like VoC or dis-43. Not CD.
-
Fabian strategy is in a weird place because even a slight buff could make it op but hey, considering how good tlaloc is why not.
-
Colovance's Duty impact.
That is extremely wrong.... Tlaloc does not 3 shot in any circumstances unless there's light advantages enabled or MAYBE if someone is running the lowest armor possible. Colovance's archetype is a 3 shot kill. Cocytus, Badger CCL, Last Extremity, etc.

Edited by Acadech: 2/9/2016 2:56:45 PMTlaloc doesnt have impact like Colovances duty... if u start ur post with nonsense, ppl doesnt take u seriously, but i agree they made fabian poorly
-
Because it would be shit without doing so, like it was before the buff. Wtf?
-
-
First: Tlaloc doesn't have the impact of the Colovances Duty. It's a normal 4-shot scout like the Hung Jury i.e. Second: Without the Super it's slower than Mida, with the Super it's a bit faster and more stable. That's all.

It (taloc) impact doesn't change because it requires you to give up your super. However, the Fabian needs to do more in order to stand out. It simply does not have the ammo capacity to change archtypes. It needs much better base stats so it is not subpar if it is not in shotgun range. Speaking of which, they need to increase proc radius so that it starts at doctrine of passing's optimal range (maybe lower) and it need s to inform you when it changes. Lastly, refill magazine the first time front lines procs and give half for every kill you get with it.
-
I agree. This could be a very good weapon with a few twitches.
-
Okay. Tlaloc requires you to run around with your super, and depending on what Subclass you're running means you're handcapping yourself Slightly not getting the guaranteed kills you would have gotten using your super. Bungie is all about give and take. They aren't just going to give you the same impact but higher rate of fire just for being up close. Or they would have never changed the Red Spectre. Hints it's would be the best auto in game
-
Because bungie hates titans. None of the class weapons they made are worth two shits.
-
I love the way it looks but I hate that the entire gun changes for its exotic perk.
-
They fuk us over all the time. Whatever. I have a jade rabbit now so f it
-
Because -blam!- titans -bungie
-
If you haven't yet noticed, it's because Bungie doesn't want Titans to be good.
-
The titan gun should work the same way but Bungie has decided against it since its full auto and warlock gun is a scout
-
Read the description. The gun is made to get you killed. Simple as that. Also, Bungie hates Titans, if you haven't noticed yet.
-
It would be OP'd.
-
I love the Fabian but wish it were more deadly and its perk triggered all the time

Edited by Erijian: 2/8/2016 10:35:12 PMPretty sure it's because TLALOC requires you to give up your Super, while Fabian Strategy just needs you to get close..Which you should be doing with an Auto Rifle anyway. Fabian really needs to have something going for it though.
-
can someone equip theirs so I can see the perks
-
Warlock master class that's why.
