Why do people want to nerf a sunsingers super?

When ever I go onto a post some one says "what about flame shield and fire bolt" It's allready been nerfed why nerf it again Edit 1: [quote]Can I self rez and easily shut down any super in the game?   • "Firebolt Grenades are broken!" Lightning grenades do the same damage as a full burn Firebolt in just [b]ONE[/b] tick. They tick multiple times. "Warlock melee range along with overshield on hit!" Front-Stab, Shoulder Charge, Throwing Knife + Burn, Smoke Grenade all are more insane and have longer range than warlock melee. Shoulder Charge isn't even a Melee Ability! "Self Rez!" Shotgun + Melee Fusion Rifle + Melee Sniper Headshot (+ Melee in rare cases) Grenade + Melee Super Before you say "Every other super can be shut down as easily," guess what? [b]All of the above tactics can be completed before his Self-Revive Animation finishes[/b] If you can't counter a Sunsinger, perhaps you need to "git gud" or need to master your own Melees and grenades. Smoke + Grenade combo is better than firebolt. Skip grenade is better than firebolt because of the better tracking than Axion and equal damage to a firebolt nade. Lightning Grenade is easily the best grenade in PvP especially since the Titan can have two with increased ticks! Suppression ends both the warlocks super and grenade for a while. Just a smoke grenade placed correctly can shut down the warlock for a few seconds as they fight to escape the slowing + blinding + damage. Firebolt without both Touch of Flame and Viking Funeral is easily the worst grenade in Destiny, doing less than the damage of arc bolt without faster bolting and no chaining. Also, just for Firebolt to be as "OP" as you have stated, the warlock has to sacrifice every single build perk just for the grenade and they don't even get to hold two of them.

          • I don't mind it honestly. There's not too many things in this game that I completely couldn't stand. The only things that made me cry nerf was Thorn and sunbreakers. Other than that I really think everything is balanced (in terms of abilities). Sunsinger sucks unless you are playing trials. The only viable grenade in pvp for them is fire bolt. Let them have that.

          • They need to speed the burn up. Double the burn damage and half the time. Make flame shield activate on a kill.

          • Since most of the complaints are geared towards Viking Funeral, I have an idea: If they decide to rework Sunsinger (hopefully for a more supportive role), they can change Viking Funeral into a perk that leaves a [i]ring of fire[/i], similar to the Napalm effect Dragon's Breath has now, when enemies are killed by any of your abilities. Damages enemies standing in it. Allies that stand in it get a damage buff to their primary weapon, and can deal Solar damage with them. To compensate for Viking Funeral no longer applying the extra burn duration, grenade damage will need to be increased while Radiance is active.

            • It's mainly the auto targeting system and the fact self Rez makes it a crutch. If anything Bungie should encourage sunsingers to help out their team with song of flame. It's what I do.

              It is an overpowering combo but what else should they use to be efficient? Solar grenades?? There's a reason certain perk spreads are chosen for all subclasses.

            • Sunsinger needs the good nuetral ae becauee they dont have a shutdown super. The only other class like it is defender and its pretty shit so you cant really compare it to that.

            • The issue isn't the super, it is the extended burn with Viking Funeral. You only need to land 1 shot for it to equate to a kill, and that is very easy to do because you can track the enemy based on the burn damage numbers that are visible through walls. I don't really care if they nerf Firebolt, but I don't think the damage numbers should be visible to compensate.

                Because it is extraordinarily lethal in certain settings, especially when multiple players run the same build. In Crimson doubles we had trouble with teams of two sun singers running Viking funeral. One hit from a grenade (that only has to land close to you) brings you down to a sliver of health. I'm not saying to nerf it but in some situations it is very strong.
