Another de-de-de crying for old content that will never and should never be brought up to year 2.
Go play another MMO and see if any old raid has ever been brought up to new content levels.
That stuff is in the past so give it up already and move on to bigger and better things,

Destiny isn't an MMO, if it were - ESO scales to leader & Runescape brings out new content (destiny is dry)
-
And those are either pay to win or pay to play, while Destiny is neither of those things.
-
Edited by Tsukuyomi Zero: 2/6/2016 9:31:38 PMThey're both pay to play. Which is the same with Destiny, TDB & HoW were both cut out of the game & sold as DLC, & the TTK cost as much as a full game.
-
No because you do not have a monthly sub fee to play Destiny.
-
There is no Monthly Sub for ESO anymore, (double check that, it cosmetic crap only, /Season pass) & Runescape costs less than Destiny to maintain.
-
With Eso, unless you paid extra money, your charcter race was locked into a set faction, so you couldn't play with your friends unless they chose a race in the same faction, and there were other things about it that made it pay to win type game. As for Runescape, I never played it, so clue about it.
-
thats only 1 aspect of eso. Destiny locks players out of the Nightfall.
-
only if it is a week they have a strike that came with dlc, or they didn't get TTK, which is understandable since they didnt pay for the content, why should they get access to it. In case you forgot, everyone agreed to allow Bungie to add, remove suspend or change anything they want at any given time, and that everyone only paid for a licence to access the game.
-
They are locked out, because they are not high enough level to participate in it, if they had they're own separate Nightfall, there wouldn't be an issue "In case you forgot, everyone agreed to allow Bungie to add, remove suspend or change anything they want at any given time, and that everyone only paid for a licence to access the game." If that was a terms & Condition - No one reads them, just because the clicked some petty box does not mean they agreed to being locked out of content they bought......

Destiny is an MMO?
-
You are so bad at this game
-
Bless your heart.
-
Edited by Weeeaal: 2/6/2016 5:58:12 PMESO scales group dungeons to the level of the group leader.
-
And Destiny has set levels, what is your point?
-
MMO Old content that scales to new levels.
-
Are there raids? And do they do the same thing? If I remember correctly dungeons are like strikes, and in destiny unless your fire team leader is high enough level to enter it, you have to do a lower level version of it, so it is similar in design while not being exact same.
-
I'd call it something in between strikes and raids. There are 4-6 bosses with their own loot drops per dungeon. There are also daily challenges (different dungeon each day) that give you a key to a chest that has their own special loot drop that require you to beat the main boss with a modifier (kill boss without killing certain adds, etc). There are also normal dungeons and then "veteran dungeons" which use the same location as the normal group dungeons but have a different set of enemies for each with a different set of mechanics and drop better loot at higher rates. I think there are 16 dungeons total so 32 different encounters counting normal and veteran rank. Most are best done using a tank, a healer and 2 dps characters.
-
So very close to the strike playlists in Destiny. Yes there are so many things from other games that could make Destiny so much better/worst depending on what is taken. But because others did it first there could be copy rights on those things which could lead to legal issues.
-
Meh. Most strikes can be solo'd. Dungeons? I would looooove to see someone try and solo a vet dungeon. As far as legal goes, I have no idea. It can't be that strict though. Look at almost every fighting game (Tekken, Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat). Very similar base games albeit with very different characters.
-
well if you look at actual game play, yes both are fighters, but they have different mechanics. You will never see a tekken character doing the same stuff as street fighter characters. Same for FPS, you will never seen a none CoD FPS will kill/score streaks because of copy rights.

1) You are an asshat and a child. 2) Obviously you didn't read it. 3) No complaining, just fun ideas 4) The community needs this. 5) Go play in the street.
-
I'm the asshat/child but you stoop to insults as the first thing you say. Who looks more like the child?
-
So you know what is best for the community? I don't think it's best, I think redoing old raids is a bad idea. Basically because of how broken CE is, and that it can be soloed bringing it up to year 2 standards would make doing anything released in TTK completely pointless. VoG and CE are done and over with, so move on or get lost.
-
So you know what's best for the community? Ive been playing since day 1 and would love a reason to jump back in VoG and it be challenging again
-
No I don't know what best for the community, but I do know can and will ruin a game. And re-vamping content can ruin the game.
