Just to be clear, I think America is a beautiful country and most of the Americans I have met on my travels there have been lovely people. My comments are directed at Bungie not Americans in general. With that said, Bungie seem to be under the impression that no where outside of US borders exists, or if it does then it is of no relevance. Examples of this are the Red Bull promotion last year, which people certainly in Europe could not access ( I suspect that the same applied in other parts of the world). I read that they had partnered up with Red Bull which if true would mean that any future promotions between the two would probably be inaccessible to those outside the American continent. Another example is the pricing of DLC s etc where Bungie seem to think that all overseas currencies are exactly equivalent to US dollars. In one post they admitted that they did not understand all that exchange rate stuff , disingenuous, because of course they do, they just are not bothered. All of the above would be fine if their product was just sold in the US and not heavily marketed to the rest of the world. As it is sold to us,they owe as much duty of care to their overseas customers as their American customers. The problem with lag could be mitigated to a certain extent if they had dedicated servers but instead they choose to penalise those, who through no fault of their own have less than ideal Internet. I am sure that in parts of the US the Intenet is worse than it is in parts of the rest of the world. In the interests of clarity my own Internet ihas a ping averaging 10 and great upload and download speeds. There are, however, times I red and yellow bar because SBMM and its hybrids have put me in a match with people scattered world wide. I do not know what action they are going to take but I sincerely hope whatever it is it will be fair to everyone, those with good and bad Internet both in the US and elsewhere

  • I think you are reading too much into this--eventually, games of randos will pool to same QoS regions, if this thing works like they say it will.

  • Activision decides the price of DLC not Bungie so getting mad at them for that is kind of silly. Hell in the contract they have Activision has more say on Destiny's creativity than Bungie does.
