Title says it all.
All fixes and adjustments are to pvp and all new content is pvp. What did the pve player do to you bungie?
I'll accept two answers.
1.why did they abandon us pve types?
2. The exact action us pve players did to them to make them hate us? Example they prob hate me because I burnt their nachos:(

Because they are working on a "large" ove event to be released in march/april. Give it a few more weeks and theyll annpunce it. Although if they release it during the division release i womt be seeing it

1. You guys got 2 raid patches yesterday 2. People that run Bungie are idiots 3. The company is far more about money now. What can they do for PvE that people will pay for? People are more likely to buy an emote for a limited time event (ex: Crimson Days) 4. They can't make silver buy 320 gear. The forums would erupt in flames and massive amounts of people would leave right there. 5. PvP is much easier to design, just make a map relatively symmetrical and add some invis walls. Raid design takes months to make, making sure it's not incredibly buggy (they forgot about that) making it easy enough for casuals, and make sure that it kinda fits into the story.

There was a time, not long ago, when there weren't any updates or dlc. They can't abandon something they never really said they were supporting
-
1 ReplyBecause the pve players just cheesed through all the content created. Then proceeded to complain about the content and or rewards system for a challenge they never really conquered
-
2 RepliesBecause the salt and crying from the PvP players drowns us PvE players so that we can't be heard.
-
1 ReplyBecause PvP normally lasts longer in games. It's the sad truth
-
2 RepliesIts because pvp is basic. Basic maps to program for basic people to play. Pve development takes more. Money and smarts.
-
1 ReplyBecause we are a bunch of whiney bastards
-
They should put more effort into pve and exploration in the next game, I mean come on guys this is just a beta.

Bump to support a PVE post. It's about time the PVE side of the community started becoming more vocal.

4 RepliesEdited by whatsgoodninja: 2/5/2016 4:46:00 PMBecuase the people running bungie and the game creators for destiny are -blam!-ing stupid..... Hey we have this huge update geared toward pvp including a special event for valentines day but we haven't forgot about you pve players. We have fixed the camera for daughters and now ogers dont teleport. Oh thank you very -blam!-ing much. Its about time you fixed the glitches that should have been adressed before the shit was released. Do you even test this shit out? Seems pretty shitty to me. How about unlocking some more exotics or perhaps a new strike or something -blam!-. Absolutely no attention is being given to the pve community. Destiny is boring as shit now imo and they need to step it up becuase the game is -blam!-ing dying and the response is special events which are just updates to get us to spend more money on stupid -blam!-ing emotes and record books. I was hoping this updated would bring something new to this game. However just sounds like more shit. -blam!- this game -blam!- bungie -blam!- you im out.

2 RepliesEdited by SABRA: 2/5/2016 6:07:32 PMI love how one guy points out the obvious about PVE and PVP players act as if it's an attack on them. It's NOT one or the other. None of the advertising I saw for Destiny was about PVP, it was about PVE. Like most people that's why I purchased the game. If I wanted PVP I would have gotten COD. 85% of Destiny players are PVE players according to Bungies own metrics. ... http://saynotorage.com/2015/03/05/bungie-accidentally-admitted-their-pvp-is-dead/

1 ReplyEdited by ClayishPit612: 2/5/2016 5:17:37 PMMy answer, PVE takes far more actual work to create content then tossing out a small PVP event on a new board. Then again, the "New" PVP events usually just reuse old boards so no work needed. I have lost faith in Bungie and am not really expecting much actual design work out of them. I still hope though that they have something big in the works for us PVE players and maybe working out some bugs that keep holding them up. BUT, if Bungie doesn't pull their head out of their a$$ and actually do something other than PVP events I will be not send them any more cash when Destiny 2 comes out. Instead I will just remember how Destiny was before Bungie stopped designing the 1st year. :( They also need to just fire Luke Smith. Elemental primaries are not needed my a$$. They helped us get through many matches with over shielded foes when we do not have a bunch of friends to play with. *My game time is limited so most my XBOX friends have accumulated everything important just as I get going and they move on quickly. LOL*

1 ReplyBecause it's easier to create small garbage such as maps and tweaks and call it content than anything that else that requires effort. Don't lose hope though, they might have some pve stuff coming your way.

PvP is easy to Manipulate. Everything is already there to work with. It is just a matter of reorganizing the rules and preselected game types. Hardly any extra work is involved unless they are trying to make it a truly unique experience - and even then it is still just a group of people trying to kill another group of people in a confined space. Also it is always left to the players to figure out the "OP" weapon setups with a gabillion amount of "Nerf" posts until yer arsehole turns purple. PvE is a whole' nother monster in and of itself. This requires them to come up with a reason to add PvE content. Why is it there? How will this affect the rest of the game? Which weapon will end up dominating for a week before we have to nerf it as a result? Everything has its place for a reason in PvE. You cannot just throw anything in and expect it to work. As much as I want too see more PvE content, I would rather them get their shite together and produce something amazing that makes sense in the Destiny Universe, then just dumping something like SRL with only 2 tracks and expecting us to Beta test it. (Yes I always wanted some form of Sparrow Racing...just not a ramshackle version they threw at us and then suckered people into throwing cash back at Bungie justifying microtransactions as a whole.)

10 RepliesEdited by KR155: 2/5/2016 4:56:51 PMTo be fair I think Pve players have had more than enough. Think about it. We got a story (sort of). Missions we'll call them missions. Then we got Vog then vog hard then Crota and Crota hard. (see where I'm going with this.) We then got house of wolves (prison). Then last but not least. Oryx. What have the pvp players had. (yes they purchased all the dlc too) Erm trials of osiris. Srl (meh).... Come on help me out I'm struggling to find what they got too. So being a pve player myself I think it's the pvp players that got shafted....... (vog will always be the best raid)

Think about, PvP will NEVER be balanced, constant updates are released to atleast please the community, though even if the PvP community are whiney -blam!-ing babies, PvE isn't hard to balance, it's all fine as of the moment and so many activities are out for PvE.
-
pvp has the lowest numbers. bungie needs to show usage in pvp to get funding for the next installment. without good numbers, i doubt activision will put out servers for pvp. i am ok with the increased pvp content as long as it brings a far better pvp experience with destiny 2. besides, the pvp babies need all the attention they can get.
-
2 Replies
1.why did they abandon us pve types?
Bungie's plan all along was to support PvP because PvP had historically had a longer tail than the campaign mode. Crucible isn't as popular as PvE (Google the 2015 GDC pie chart) and Bungie never corrected course.
2. The exact action us pve players did to them to make them hate us?
You didn't like Crucible, which is much cheaper to create content for than missions, strikes, and raids.

Rasputin: ends simulation. There were never any other races. There was never a traveler. There was only training. Welcome to the Cosmodrome! FIGHT! *we don't need another hero*
-
PvP players are what makes this game keep breathing...
-
11 RepliesI guess some people like shooting dregs :/
-
Pvp players probably by more emotes used to rub it in when you beat someone. I doubt oryx gives a monkeys if you Carlton dance your butt of when he dies. Pvp is probably much more marketable with loads of game type options compared to one decent sized, take ages to make pve dlc.

Um... Most of the game is PVE. And also PVE is pretty good. Now they could create cool events and stuff for PVE but other than that nothing really needs adjusting.
