Because its so incredibly easy to work on the next game, try to help crucible, and give destiny players some reason to play all while making what passes as new events for you. Team doubles was a loved playlist and elimination w/ buffs suits the holiday. You have all the right to complain, but thats no reason to bash bungie on the forums.

Sorry, but the idea that Valentine's Day fits in anywhere within the context of the Destiny universe to begin with is asinine.
-
Let them hire more staff, the content will sell if available.
-
More staff would be really nice, but im sure(and hoping) its not just anyone they hire.
-
If everyone thought that way large companies would not exist, always good people available.
-
True true. Thx for being constructive and not bashing out here man
-
Np, too many keyboard warriors in this world.

Last I checked bungie had a ten year plan for the franchise. Or at least that's what I remember them screaming from the mountain tops repeatedly. If they can't cover what you speak of efficently, their plan is shit.
-
Lord knows im not excusing. But bitching on a forum doesnt help
-
I'm not so sure of that. I will bet money the overwhelmingly negative feel of the forums for months contributed to the CEO "stepping down". You know Activision checks on their products. It's essentially like asking Jar Jar to not be in the next film...which was solely based off negative PR.

This is one company. Halo games developed by bungie dropped every 3 years, with very few content updates in between. Now its one company, constant updates, a full game every 2 years. Even if their employee number is larger and technology is better, the workload is not an easy thing to follow through, especially when major company people quit b4 completion of the game near launch, causing bungie to start falling behind before the game even came out. And ppl bitch over microtransactions, which are completely cosmetic and optional, not affecting gameplay at all, in exchange for FREE major updates.
-
Sorry but no......they set expectations. Does the community seem to get their minds racing about unrealistic things? Yup. Does Bungie do anything to manage that? Nope. There has not been a single "FREE major update". Not one. Supporting your game with patches when you sold it as a quasi-MMO that would always be changing all the time and have lots of events is customer support, not a "nice to do". Also, define constant.....not the PR weekly crap, but actual constant updates to the game.....been playing since day 1 and saying constant would be extremely misguided.

I have seen free to play game give better events than this. They also had this back in the Halo 3 days.....every weekend at that. This is lazy and if you think it is anything more than that you are just deluding yourself. Plus, not everyone plays PVP, so once again they are excluding a large piece of their player base as well. This is not a good event, it's lazy and, once again, just a front for their micro-transaction shenanigans. They are literately putting little effort as possibly into these events, but because of idiots like you that gobble them up they get away with it.
-
If you are going to complain, then give me a "good event" you think suits your "needs". I enjoy the game i paid for. You bitch and moan for a game you paid for. Ever notice the people who understand how business works and how much goes in game development and code, dont bitch like you. You compare this to halo 3 doubles, but halo 3 doesnt have nearly as much content as Destiny, especially in the PvE department. You criticize uselessly and assume this is a facade for micro transactions, when you have no proof of it.
-
I understand how business works, being in senior management and Bungie's management from communications to stakeholder expectation management to customer retention is pathetic. I think Destiny has the potential to be a truly amazing game, but little by little they make it worse and worse.

Edited by KitsuneSonow: 1/29/2016 11:16:49 PMI am comparing the event to double exp. weekends in which they tweaked or added a new variant for a brief amount of time. This is the same thing as back then, it's not new, it's not exceptional, it a game mode that has been tweaked with an event released around it, that is all. I actually understand quite well how much goes into development and code, and while they may have put some time into it doesn't mean they put their full efforts into it. This is tantamount of me going into Halo 3, making a new gametype from one of the templates, and saying I did a lot of work with it. I claim it's a facade, because it shallow, they even blatantly advertise the new emotes right on the event page. How you are not seeing it beyond me, but I do enjoy watching your blind, fan-boyish rage. Bungie has shown they could actually do amazing things with this game, but because of dumbass, blind people like that happily chow down on what they throw at you they think they can get away with the bare minimum and charge people for it. I actually hope Destiny does die, because it's future is looking pretty damn grim, and I don't want a game that I actually like becoming a shit fest like all the others.
