How can destiny survive?

First off I would like to thank you and Deej for coming out and telling us what is happening in relations to the matchmaking. As an avid player I know how frustrating it was but I also understand it takes time. This communication is good and needs to continue and while there are other post like this out there I do hope you read mine as I have some legitimate points and questions that I would love to have answered. Now this will be a bit of a lengthy post so those that don't want to read it all just go to the last paragraph where I'll do a very short summary of my points. And if you think there good or bad let me know. Bungie What's Wrong?
We all know that bungie has a number of great titles (not just Halo) so what is happening with destiny? If it's Activision just tell them to keep there hands out of the way and let the men and women at bungie do there jobs!!
Luke Smith
Luke (and by association the development team) it's time to admit you messed up!! Since the beginning of Destiny and with the 2 expansions it was looking like it would just keep growing and getting bigger and better. And while yes 'The Taken King' did give us an expansion on the story, a new raid and strikes, fun new exotic quests and a new thing to do in patrol. But all of these good points are swamped over by the fact that even though you said you wanted more weapon variety you made all the weapons and armour from year 1 obsolete. You also made our other 2 raids and 'Prison of Elders' obsolete. And the most confusing part is that an exotic quest requires us to do this raid although there is no other point to it except to reminisce of the old days. Now there have been many posts on different ideas for this but in the end the only thing is. It needs to happen!!
Where's the Money?
Now we all know money makes the world (or Galaxy) and bungie is no different it needs money to pay those creating this game. Now personally I feel that having one or two payable major DLC's is quite acceptable. And the micro transactions you put in the game are a good source but let's face it they aren't the best. What about other avenues? Now for some who just want to play the game they might not be interested in cosmetics but there are others that will. For example the guardian outfitter could change a guardians appearance for some silver. And what about a vendor that will paint (or different skins) for your gun, sparrow or even our ship. Novelty items could also be added. Is there a possibility of buying an exotic helmet from a well known Spartan that changes ones armour to that of the Master Chief? Once again there are many ideas there to be used if the time is taken to look through the forums.
What's Next?
As we recently found out the next major DLC won't be until 2017. So what's happening till then? Is destiny just going to be left as is while you focus on the next DLC? In all honesty this would be the worst option, after all the base for a great game is already in place, and as mentioned earlier if all our content from year one (including the 'Prowling Wolves' and 'Blades of Crota') was made relevant it would make the game twice what it is now. Also events such as 'Festival of the Lost' and 'Crimson Days' are good additions for a little extra to do. And what about monthly events? At the moment we only have Iron Banner which is 1 week out of 4, if SRL came back we have 2/4. But again there is so many options, like the popular PvE survival or war event. If more of these events are added although a lot smaller they still bring life to the game. Some events could come every month while others could be every second month. Look to the ideas of the ones playing your game and trying to help build it to be even better.
Communication!
This is the most important! And while i have a lot to say I'm only doing so because I want this game to only get better and better and though you all are way more experienced then me sometimes it takes an outsiders look at a situation to help progress. Cozmo and Deej I understand that you can only tell us what you know but maybe the airways need to be freed up a bit. In your updates could you put links to polls to find out our opinion on matters or ideas. In the end we all just want to talk and be heard and this is a big job for you both.
To conclude. So to wrap up this novel here's a brief summary of the points in trying to make. 1. Bungie where are you headed? 2. All year 1 content needs to come back. 3. Can more personalization be introduced? Could Silver be traded for in game cosmetics? 4. What new content can we look forward too? Events? 5. Keep the airways open, and involve us in the conversation. Well thanks for reading and I hope we can all keep enjoying Destiny.
