I vote yes. But I also haven't played IB since the taken king was released.

I enjoy it when I actually be a runner. Slam that spark into the rift.
-
I don't mind it. I got all 3 characters to rank 5. Now if you had asked if I'm enjoying the RNG then I would have said hell no. I'm farming for Warlock boots and a chest with extra hand cannon ammo. After 30 matches or so I've gotten 1 armor drop.

No. Picture this Le me Le team 15k to 3k Winning.jpg I carried and ignited 3 times in a row Two other teamm8s get 1 I get 15 kills Everyone else over 6 All have over 1.2 k/d Totally one sided. Ends early. Rewards: Seeing le me @top Only get 1 strange coin #4 and 5 get iron she'll and iron chestplate. What dafuq.gif Fix your damn rewards Bungie

Gun skill plays almost no part in the outcome of the game

I hate it. I'm always solo cause I don't have really have many friends that play often. I get about 30 or more kills a game and lose every match cause my team isnt working together. Rift is stupid, especially for iron banner.
-
Terrible as a solo player, quite fun in a team. I still would never like it back as IB again though.

Edited by LordThunderhorse: 1/29/2016 1:52:42 PMAs a solo player, I enjoy it. I want to say 95% of my matches come down to the wire or at least really close. At most I'll lose 4 matches in a row, then win and the cycle continues. I don't use my mic cause no one else will but I'll read what I see and play accordingly. As of now I've had more fun in rift IB than control. It's doesn't end up so one sided quickly and I don't have to worry about if I spawn on the good side for point controls.

Not very good for solo play
-
I've only won 2 games because no one on my team knows how to do jack. No one knows how to run the spark, defend the spark runner, or defend the rift. Rift was the worst possible mode to use for IB

I wasn't expecting to like it as much as I do. It's actually a lot of fun. I was worried going solo against fireteams of 6 would suck. And it does. But it sucked in control and clash, too. Face it, you're not likely to beat those teams regardless of the game type. I find the objective really helps to promote teamwork, though. It focuses the action a great deal. And the strategy involved in successfully pushing forward and driving toward the rift? There's few things more fearsome than a coordinated stalk. I'm a big fan of Rift for IB, and I hope they put into the IB rotation on a regular basis.

I think rift is great in Banner. I think rotating the gametype for Banner works and keeps it from being repetative. I enjoyed Clash as well. I don't see Rumble doubles, salvage, elimination, or skirmish being as enjoyable. But i am also more of a 6v6 fan. I wouldnt mind inferno and mayhem versions added as well.

Rift sucks for Iron Banner. If you can join with your own team, you might be better off but as a solo player it has been horrible. The points system favors the ones who grab the spark no matter whether they get kills or not. This causes chaos on auto-match teams. Folks are literally pushing each other at the spark spawn point to grab the spark. No team effort/mentality. Horrible idea from Bungie.
