It would make sense with Valentine's Day! Rose was a Hand Cannon that was corrupted by the Darkness and eventually became Thorn.
Obviously, Rose wouldn't just appear. There would be a quest to purify Thorn by using it in Crimson Doubles or something.
Anyone agree?
-
Would give me a reason to use thorn for more than the initial test
-
See, had Bungie made a mention in the update like this "and by participating in Crimson Doubles you'll have a chance to earn an all new never before seen exotic" that would have built the hype for everyone.
-
People know that Thorn was the exact same gun as the Rose right? Nothing changed, Yor just realized that it looked less like holding a rose ( looking at the bloom or barrel of the gun) and realized it was just angry thorns...
-
But then we'll have to make another Hand Cannon called Jack.
-
You monster You are literally encouraging Bungie to make an event where everyone is required to use Thorn in PvP Are you the devil?
-
Rose Exotic Perk: Rounds pierce targets and cause lingering health regeneration over time.
-
-
Bungie isn't creative enough they're too stupid to implement an idea like this.
-
Would be incredibly cool but unlikely
-
That would be awesome! I just hope you could still keep thorn
-
Great idea Best post I have seen in a long time
-
They will be plenty of micro transactions for you to spend your money on so dont worry about it
-
-
Yes rose was just the name of thorn. Read the grimiore for the last word and thorn and youll understand.
-
The first curse?
-
Would make sense, but Bungie likes to implement stuff that doesnt make any sense... Sadly...
-
Bungie introducing something worthwhile in their game? AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. I wish. I wish for us all.
-
Omg yes
-
Agree agree agree...... LOL!
-
If only.
-
I agree with the idea of a new exotic but to use that new exotic in the same pve or pvp games? Nah! Not even worth the grind. Think about it. After hours of grinding what will you use the gun for? Another iron banner control game thats been going on since launch? Another raid? How about another strike you have already done 200 times? Again good idea but not worth it.

Sorry to burst everyone's bubble... There never was a Rose. Rose was symbolic of how Dredgen saw himself, when he thought he was still the beacon of hope that fought for good his cannon (Thorn) was a beautiful Rose, but as he started to accept (and hate) who he was he saw it for what it really was. Jagged Thorns. He wasn't a hero, and by Sword Logic he fought. He looked for challenges to be defeated in the Crucible... Thalor, an undefeated Titan, fell (not killed fell in Crucible) to Dredgen and his Thorn. Then he sought out a legend, a man who went into the Vault and came out, even if insane. Pahanin was his first true victim, Dredgen turned from the Light then, his Ghost abandoning him on Mars. He later finds out about Jaren and goes after him, when he gets there he sees Shin Malphur and knew. Dredgen killed Jaren, instructing the Guardian-less Ghost to bring The Last Word back for Shin. Shin took it, and went after Dredgen, they met at Dwindler's Ridge, where Dredgen died his final death.

Edited by Hype: 1/25/2016 5:00:04 AMi think it should be like, you infuse thorn with light and it becomes the stem or something. like imprecation and it has no real exotic perks, but upon completing the quest you get an exotic. and i think it would be cool if the exotic perk was called mark of the healer, and it granted a partial overshield on kills, and precision kills fully recharged your overshield, and when reviving team mates, your overshield buffs armor by 10% and and recharges, similar to force barrier. these would make it different from any other weapon, and emphasize how it is the opposite of thorn
