This week at Bungie, we've been dialing it back a little, but starting today, we'll be right back to the grindstone (kind of like our players) working on new content for our loyal fans. Well, it turns out we got back from our vacation a little sooner than expected, but I have to say, it was a wild ride. Yay, us! Speaking of caring, we didn't go off on our vacation with the intent of neglecting any problems that would arise. In fact, we made sure to leave good ol' Jeff behind to iron out any bugs that could spring up in the world of Destiny while we were gone. We left Jeff at the wheel in good confidence, and from what we've seen so far in our few days back, it seems that he has risen to the occasion. Here's a shoutout to Jeff, who has now earned himself a promotion to be the new helmsman of our Crucible team. Good job, buddy. Now, you're probably all thinking, "Wow, DeeJ, you're such a great guy!" Let's hold the applause for later. But you're probably also thinking, "But DeeJ, what about all the bugs that came up while you guys were gone? What did Jeff do about that?" It's not such an easy question to answer, and while I'm an excellent community manager, I'm not the guy to talk about bug-squashing. Let's hand it over to the Live Team to talk about some pressing issues. [b]Greetings, Guardians. You're probably all wondering about the issues that have cropped up in our physics engine and the Crucible in our absence. Well, wonder no more. As the official new head of the Live Team, I, Jeff, am here to assuage your fears that anything unfixable has come up or that Bungie is incompetent and ignores their playerbase over a month-long vacation that we probably didn't need. Some issues that have been raised by our loyal fans include floating bodies in the Crucible, bodies that still have health, players falling through the map upon activating their Super, players dying from fall damage where they shouldn't have, players dying when they activate their Super, overall lag issues, and probably something else that we forgot about but will remember when people discover it's still in the game and call us lazy. These issues are currently being worked on, and most appear to be easy fixes. The floating bodies, for example, have already been fixed. We have temporarily made bodies completely disappear when they die until we can make a more permanent fix, although we all know that won't happen. The bodies that still have health has also been fixed. As a fix, we have temporarily removed health as a Crucible mechanic. Players will not be able to die until a better fix is established. We are sorry for the inconvenience and your broken K/D. On the bright side, pretty much every other major bug is also resolved by this. As for players dying unnecessarily, please refer to the no-health fix. And finally, as for lag, it's already in the game anyway, so just deal with it. It's not like you'll die or anything.[/b] Thanks, Live Team. You guys sure know how to make a heartwarming update that tells us exactly what's going to happen every time we write one. Speaking of heartwarming, that February holiday for that special someone in your life (or your mom in my poor excuse of one) is just around the corner! To celebrate, we here at Bungie are doing a special pseudo-Valentine's event called the Crimson Days because we love originality. During these days, you get a brand-new Crucible game type called Crimson Doubles. It's like Doubles, but with more Crimson. I'll save you all time and give the short timeline Feb 9- red and white fest begins. (Save yourself time and just get new monarchy shaders.) Feb 11- Seeing how Fapstock (whatever they are calling this) is failing, they will release info about the big update. And that update will be -more nerfing...I mean "balancing" -6 more old exotics. (And the reign of Dreg's promise begins) -vanguard will sell armor parts -no new content or raid fixes March - announcement that the last thing was just an update, new content is coming April - official announcement and information along with a name like "goblet of fire" or "Toland and Osiris's Bogus Journey." Hopefully "Cade-6's Day Off." May - released DLC with a couple missions and the remaining exotics they showed for TK back in August. (Shit like warlock boots and fire thunderlord) June - the burned out masses from "St. 14's Fire" expansion clamor for more. Turns out people weren't THAT into shank jousting. July - announcement that a sequel is coming Destiny 2: More Destinier August - cue up empty promises, unanswered questions and tripling preorder bonuses so the preorders roll in. September - new game releases, also turns out we don't get most of our exotics, not many new ones, all our old armor can't be increased, is only 1/3 the new max light level. October - someone bumps this after they get bored raiding to kill Oryx's Dad with the tag #nailedit

I don't know what everyones mad about. Every great FPS has great V-day themed action! IB is new fresh content, rift is by far the #1 most requested crucible event I have herd of by far. Lag is gone forever! After all this time, Destiny is good again. All good things to those who wait.

People this is a game we play for fun on our time. This is not a necessity relax there are other games to play or just get a girl friend lol, you might like it.

Bring the division maybe it will break me of this carrot chase , I've tried getting into destiny 3 times this morning .... Ran a few strikes and now I'm sitting in orbit reading the fourms trying to find the motivation to play .......

This event actually sounds more interesting than SRL. Am I happy with it? No. Am I disagreeing with this post? No. Is the game dead? Yes. Will I try out the Valentines event? Yes.

They'll have something for us soon and will notify us when they're ready. They can just spit out content. You clearly have never worked in any type of position where development like this needs to occur.

I don't get why people are so distraught over the update. Why are people mad? Is it because: Iron Banner is rift? We're getting an event for V-day? The lag issues are getting due attention? People just complain for the sake of complaining.
