Hi I've recently come back to Destiny after taking a year break and all I see in crucible is TLW, Mida and 1000ys.. I used to use AR's exclusively and now I can't win any 1v1 gunfights.. :-( what is the best AR that can compete with these guns in the current build of the game?
Thanks :-)

Pre fire

Any high impact, low rate of fire auto rifle does good. Or any auto rifle with stability enhancing perks.
-
the Häkke Arminius-D is very similar to the Doctrine (on my Hunter). Got it from the Gunsmith.
-
Supercell is a good option
-
Doctrine of Passing from trials if you get lucky enough for it to drop
-
Monte Carlo does good work, the IB AR with good rolls is pretty decent...Doctrine of Passing is a beast...ARs can compete but it def takes good aim and practice at fighting within the optimum range band.
-
If your lucky to get the arminius-d with the rolls counter balance and small bore you're in for a treat, Monte Carlo is pretty solid, and so is the IB auto
-
You need to run trials and get a doctrine of passing. In the proper range that gun wins almost every time. The iron banner auto is great too but you gotta wait for that one.
-
I always liked suros regime in pvp. Everyone hates the slow fire when ADS, but that's what makes the gun for me. Give me higher impact any day of the week.
-
As far as vendor purchases go, Righteous from New Monarchy and Paleocontact from Dead Orbit are extremely viable in my opinion.
-
I ran zhalo supercell in iron banner on all three toons and it did well. Monte Carlo with gunslinger is a great combo and the new iron banner ar is a monster. Those are my three go to ar's.
-
Suros weapons, like the one on my hunter. You want one with high stability. Maybe a full bar is unnecessary tho
-
Find one with counterbalance (can be green, wont matter). Find the right distance and pre-fire it a little before your prey breaks cover or you close in. Aim for the head and strafe. Kill 3/4 of the scrubs in this game.

An answering chord from the vendor / or regicide mission (this one drops at 200 light) but it's got decent perks . Il put it on my warlock for you too see . The iron banner one plays like the old school vanquisher which is fun , but honestly answering chord is decent . Similar stats to the Suros regime
-
Suros Regime is my go to. Its stats are awesome and it can be tuned to your play style Spinning up makes it very powerful and stable and gets to your Suros perk quicker Focus Fire let's you accurately engage at crazy ranges for an auto especially when you add the Suros perk damage on top of that I switch between the 2 depending on the map. For example I'll use focus fire on widows court and spinning up on anomaly if that makes sense. Hope this helps

They have been buffed by 0.04%. That gives an extra kill for every 1000 guardians challenged.

Edited by Pokingaround: 1/15/2016 8:00:39 AMDoctrine from TOO, Haakon from IB, Do AR from vendor, Fabian from titan gunsmith rank 3, Monte Carlo, Arminius D from armsday. All near to max ROF ARs. I like Haakons and Doctrine most. Necrochasm in normal crucible.

Doctrine of Passing from Trials Hard Light is quite fun to use as well :)

Like we gonna tell you. Figure it out yourself kid... oh wait we don't talk to kids so nevermind

The vendor New Monarchy AR is brutal. This one: http://db.destinytracker.com/vendors/1808244981-new-monarchy Righteous VII This AR got me 2nd place Rift score on my team when I didn't pickup the spark once ... http://destinytracker.com/destiny/games/2/4611686018438953806/2305843009316484350/4507207028?page=0 Other ones that I have been using are equipped on my chars.

I gave fabian strategy a short trial an hour ago and i liked it surprisingly i havnt upgraded it at all yet but i think i will now and keep testing it out
-
lol "ARs"
-
The winning archetype right now is 88-100 RoF. Suros is passable but in close range you will have a hard time against those kinds.
-
High RoF's, with perks that boost impact, and stability.
-
Bullet hose archetypes, dust off atheons epilogue, you can also get arminius from gunsmith orders or doctrine from trials.
