*Disclaimer* *Thank you to anyone for taking the time to read this. I am not a whiner, I used actuals and examples only to show the facts and challenges I personally have struggled with and I know many others as well. My goal is only to make the game better for everyone. Personally, I just want to keep playing the game as well as keep my friends playing the game.* Over and over I have been logging more and more hours on destiny. Even more since the taken king, than ever before. Yet, I have not even come close to maxing out any of my 3 characters. Last week in trials I won several rounds, and completed 3 sets of trials bounties. The best drop I received was a 300 Reflection Sum, last week I got the same Reflection Sum rifle at 304. I went backwards, is that fair? It is somewhat insulting to give items like that, after all the money and 100's of hours I've played, and don't get me started on the drops below the recommended light level 290, absurd. Then I ran 3 nightfalls, last night, 1 character was 312 and got a 300 ghost for completion, but even better another was character who's 314 in the very next nightfall got 297 ghost! My third character I literally have no idea what I got for the nightfall at 310, it was that memorable, its probably armor parts by now. Worst yet, I have not even been, I guess lucky enough, able to get a 320 item on any of my three characters. I painfully raced, over and over and over again in the SRL mind numbing event and only managed 319 helmets. No 320 helmets, plus no marks worth even being in my memory banks. My friends won't play trials as it is a "waste of time." It's getting harder to against argue their point. Iron Banned used to drop and guarantee the best equipment in year 1, and if you didn't get what you wanted you could do something about it, by scrambling to get glimmer and purchasing IB gear. I loved the game, but I need something to rekindle my love but all the events outside Iron banner, are pointless unless you want to get some aesthetically challenged racing jumpsuits, and awful Halloween masks, both of which are completely irrelevant to use in any type of game play. Bottom line is 320 needs to be obtainable. Hell 315 needs to be more obtainable. I still have not seen, in person or otherwise, a single 320 character. Which is a problem. I had all types of mix and match class items to max myself out situationally at 300 or 365 (year 1). That feels good as a player. You still seek the few and far between. And the game is challenging enough as is to keep my interest, but not if it continues to be for nothing. -Smoke
