I totally agree. The raid weapons have just been completely abysmal compared to the past. Even if you exclude fatebringer, VoC, and maybe fang of it yūt, the old raid weapons were still just plain better than the ones we've got now.

Because they were OP God Guns....that were superior to every other legendary weapon in the game in every way. All Bungie did was narrow the benefits of the raid weapons to primarily playing the raid itself. Which I think was a smart move.

But the thing about the raid weapons is that they are worse than regular legendaries. I would take an eyasluna over the raid handcannon any day, and I get they were tying to do that, but they just didn't do it right. I don't want to infuse my raid weapon into another weapon because the infusing process doesn't get it all the way there, which is part of the problem.

If cocoon wasn't the only perk though....

The only thing wrong with the hand cannon is the reload time. But it needed to have a slow reload (just not that slow) to offset the 10% damage bonus against taken, and the magic reload. Plus it's not a fair comparison to compare the worst weapon in the raid set to the best legendary hand cannons in the game. Perk for perk, the scout rifle and pulse rifle outperform every other legendary weapon I their class in the raid, plus many exotics.
