A hand cannon with max stability?

So, I recently got my hands on a Down and Doubt 00-0 hand cannon from an engram. I kept it because it has a strange and unusual roll to it. Sureshot IS, Luck in the Chamber, Braced Frame, and Triple Tap. This does leave it with a magazine size of 6, but it has max stability. I have never heard of such a thing til now. It is currently equipped to my Warlock. What are your thoughts on this?

  • Unfortunately, you have an amazing roll......on a horrible hand cannon. If i'm correct, although it is a Year 2 Handcannon, it's still really bad for PvP. Notice how i'm talking about PvP only. Stability is completely useless in PvE, in my opinion. I have an Eyasluna with LitC, Braced Frame, and Hot Swap (I think, idk about that last one.) It's ridiculously amazing at consistent 3 taps, the range doesn't really matter considering I have a quickdraw, hot swap Event Horizon for long-range encounters. I definitely like stability over range, but not on low-mag hand cannons.

  • Braced Frame + LiTC = win

  • If range is low dismantle it. Without range handcannons are like civil war muskets

  • Range>stability for handcannons

I have a hand cannon like that. If I max the stability on it, it goes down to 5 rounds. :/ It's really not worth it. Hand cannons will work great with medium stability (sometimes even with very low stability). Shoot at a wall and check how tight the bullet hole cluster is, then change the stability and try it again. You likely won't see much, if any, difference. They will feel smoother with more stability, but if it hurts other stats, it's just not worth it, IMO. It's more important on faster firing ones, though. Slow hand cannons, like First Curse, can get away with a bottomed out stability stat. But, like I said, they feel really nice with high stability. My Imago Loop has Braced Frame and I -blam!-ing love shooting that thing. :)

  • Huh. Not bad roll for pve. Triple tap helps the mag and luck in the chamber really helps the dps.
