The Special Snowflakes - Unique Gear Rolls and Loadouts

Strange gear, odd character builds, unexpected synergies, these are the things I love most in games. From TCGs to RPGs, if there's a system that can be broken, or a character that can do something they are not supposed to be able to do, I want to do it. It doesn't even have to be competitive, as long as it's fun, or weird. Destiny may not have the character flexibility of something like Skyrim (which has great communities dedicated to unique, bizarre, and broken character builds that really stretch that system) but I would love to see some of this action in Destiny! Does your perk build and your loadout synergize in unique ways? Have you received any loot drops with really powerful rolls? Have you discovered any combos that do fun and powerful things? Let's share some fun and/or effective stuff we've found, or theorize about bizarre God rolls we hope to find! ----- Lately I've been having a really excellent time with the Bones of Eao on my Nightstalker, how it combines with controlled jump and shadestep for maximum mobility options, and my almost pure discipline/strength smoke/grenade gear for a super fast, surprise attack kind of build. I definitely feel like the exotic gear is the key to unique and interesting builds in Destiny. My Current Build: Bones of Eao Better Control Jump (Triple with Bones) Black Hole Envenomed Lockdown Shadestep Better control jump with the Bones is amazing. The third jump launches you at an insane speed, and with a little practice you can not only cross the map as fast as skating titans, but accelerate much faster. It also let's you do some bizarre aerial juking. It definitely takes some practice to not send yourself flying straight off of the map and it might not be the most competitive exotic, but it's a lot of fun and you should try it out at least once. As far as weapons, I'm currently using what I call: The Ugly Duckling Byronic Hero with Rangefinder, Smallbore, and Luck in the Chamber. This one is a blast, two shot kill with headshots when luck in the chamber procs, and it can drop most guardians in one headshot and two body shots. Coupled with the high aim assist on the Byronic Hero it makes for an excellent gun when flying through the air uncontrollably with the bones. If you're more inclined to range, the Mida is certainly an excellent and mobile option, and the Doctrine of Passing is also a very good close range option if you like Autos, but I very much enjoy the hand cannons in this slot. The Havoc Pigeon Love this gun. Shotguns are great for titans thanks to their high armor and the way skating works, but the ironically uncontrollable nature of triple control jump, and the ease of getting outside of shotgun range with shade step makes sidearms a much more fitting option for this build in my mind. I've also found that smokes and sidearms work very well together, so they're perfect for this subclass. I'm just using the vendor one here. You'll want to be switching between these two weapons constantly, the pigeon handles far better in close engagements (just outside of shotgun range) and cleaning people up post grenade/smoke, so you'll want to have it out any time you're likely to step into one of those encounter. The Byronic Hero with this particular build has some surprising range, but you'll want to be moving most of the time, and attempting to outflank and close the distance on your opponents. Main things to watch out for are The Last Word and fast firing auto rifles, which can overwhelm you if you're not careful, and as a rule, always stay outside of shotgun range, and be very wary of popular sniper lines. Well, what do you guys have going on? Some kind of crazy Monte Carlo/Sealed Ahamkara's Grasp/Knife Juggler build? An Imago Loop with Outlaw and Reactive Reload? It doesn't have to be complicated or long, just tell us what you enjoy! Let's make some fun!

 • Voidwalker Melee Sprinter Possibly the fastest movement speed you can achieve in the entire game. Key Armor: - Claws of Ahamkara - Raid boots with 20-sec agility buff on melee hits (stacks 4 times). - Helmet with melee oriented perk Key stats: - Max agility - Max strength Key Abilities: - Surge - Blink/Focused Burst - The Hunger Key Weapons - Solid shotgun/fusion rifle - Mida Multitool - Any weapon with Battle Runner or Single Point Sling Summary You are the swift messenger of death. You can flee any engagement and rush to flank enemy positions with ease. You're a glass cannon specializing in close quarters combat. Your melees are often one-hit-kills. Each time you hit with Energy Drain (which should be all the time), you get the highest possible agility in the game plus lightning fast weapon handling/reloading for 15 seconds. With Battle Runner or Mida Multitool, you can run the map up and down like Lebron James on a fast break for a slam dunk. You can really get the jump on people in PvP with this build. You will cover a lot of ground very quickly. Not even a max agility Hunter can outrun you. But I find the most valuable aspect of this build is your ability to reach any strategic point on the map in record time. You can flee a bad firefight and rush to flank your enemies from another angle before the skirmish is over. I recommend keeping a safe distance from most players due to your squishiness, and closing in for CQC when your enemies are caught off guard. You can put down 2 or three guardians before they even know what hit them. You are the angel of death, reaper of souls.
