Semi-Rant plus sound King's Fall advice

This advice seems helpful - I'm going to try it

My pride hurts...Lag has to be the reason I fail

Does anyone else seem to only find bad raid teammates on the Oryx challenge week? Seriously. How do you wipe at totems? The problem here isn't new players that need to be taught how to do the raid. I've sherpa'd plenty of players through all 3 of the raids and don't have a problem teaching new players. The problem I seem to have on Oryx challenge week is high light level players with very little skill that just do not listen to any constructive feedback and continually blame "lag" for their mistakes. This drives me nuts. If you screw up multiple times and another player gives you sound advice...just try it, don't completely ignore it and keep screwing up because you're too prideful to admit you may have made a mistake and there could be a better way to do it. I have raided a LOT and I have seen just about everything that can go wrong in King's Fall. I have also found strategies that prevent all of the worst problems: 1. The aura doesn't transfer at totems. This can happen one of two ways. Either the two players are not close to each other when the timer ends or the players are not close enough to the center of the totem when the timer ends. The best way to transfer the aura is to have the player losing it snipe the boomer. As long as the player losing the aura stays to physically see the boomer die there has been enough time - also look down at your feet when you start to leave. You can see the circle of the aura and stop moving if it follows you. Also, just make sure you are near each other and near the center of the totem. If you strafe too far the the aura won't transfer. 2. Daughters knocking you off the edge to your death. This can happen one of two ways. Either you got too close to the Daughter before you slammed or you waited too long before slamming and didn't position yourself well. To avoid being blown sideways do this: when you get to the daughter platform don't slam right away, instead run to the outer edge of the platform and turn your back to the Daughter so that you are facing your teammates. Then slam. This prevents you from being blown sideways and even if you take too long and get blown it will send you right to your team. 3. Teleporting ogres at Oryx. This can happen one of two ways. Either your floaters got behind on damaging the ogres and do not get enough damage on the last ogre as he stands up or someone threw an area of effect grenade at the ogre. First do not ever throw area effect grenades at the ogres. Use stickies or pulse grenades instead (or better yet - just snipe them instead of using grenades at all). Also, if you are on a platform make sure to do a little damage on your ogre too before killing your knight. A single snipe or a non-area effect grenade will do it. Your floaters should be using Blessing of Light and Touch of Malice. You can use Weapons of Light too, but it isn't necessary. Also, putting players with high level Touch of Malices as floaters is a good idea. Mine's 320 and it just wrecks them. Follow these simple steps and you won't ever have any of those problems that some players seem to think is just out of their control RNG or lag. It's not. EDIT: It has been pointed out to me that area of effect grenades do not cause teleporting ogres. It appears that there is only one thing that can - not causing enough DPS as quickly as you can while they are standing up. Using the raid helmet with the "Take That" perk along with blessing and weapons of light titan bubbles is a sure way to melt them quickly and avoid this.
