It's supposed to, but the last few they've ended a wee bit early.

Cozmo Actually just posted [url=https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/184478207/0/0]this[/url] stating that IB will end at 1 am Pacific. If you've still got a lot to do, I'd get to it.

3/4 to go until rank 5 and I haven't done the bounties. I won't be able to for another 2 hours. But I shoukd be alright. I live in the eastern time zone.

With the iron banner buff this late in IB, you could stride into rank 5 in just a couple games. Those weekly bounties can take you far.
