Destiny: Less Chance, More Choice

Destiny: Less Chance, More Choice As a Destiny player for a while now, I've noticed something about the game that I feel should be changed...It's relies to heavily upon to much upon chance and RNG in many of it's design elements. Now, chance and RNG in a game are not bad things, they allow for surprise and can spruce up gameplay, but I feel Destiny has become to reliant upon this RNG and not enough of letting players having more control over the game and how they want to play. This is not to say said players have no control, but I think it can be improved to boost morale and player satisfaction. Below are a list I compiled for what improvements I think could be made to make players like myself and others feel more in control and better enjoy Destiny. [b]Strikes: [/b] * Implement the ability for players to vote on which Strike they'd like to play whilst doing the Weekly Strikes after the completion of a strike. Alternatively, allow players to select the strike they would like to play before hand in said Playlist and allow them to play said Strike with others who've chosen this option and are looking to obtain Strike specific gear. * Bring all Strikes back and add new Strike specific gear for the strikes who've not received it. [b]Crucible:[/b] * Similar to Strikes, allow players to choose/vote on the next map they'd like to play on instead of being left to chance. ( This may not be necessary for Trials of Osiris.) * Make it so those who perform better in matches have a chance to earn better rewards. ( Let me also be clear that I am not saying that those who's performance isn't the best should get nothing, but I feel those who perform better in Crucible are better rewarded with improved RNG and incentive to play better. This is coming from someone who is far from superb at Crucible activities.) [b]Gear:[/b] * Allow Y1 Legendaries like Raid/Prison Of Elders Armor and weaponry to be brought to the higher levels of play. I understand they do not necessarily fit in with how our Arsenal/perks works now, but if that is the case then consider having new versions that our old Gear can evolve into upon hitting the new level cap with new perks to fit them. * Create Kiosks for Legendary Armor and Weaponry ( Or at least Raid and Special Event Equipment) If someone loses or deletes a piece of specific Raid gear they like, due to an accident or lack of Vault-Space, they don't have to worry about grinding for it again. * Have the items in the Exotic Kiosk scale with the highest level of said discovered item/milestones. If Touch Of Malice and the Exotic Swords drop at 310, and if something happens where they have to be dismantled, then they should be able to reacquired at the highest level they were found. This would apply to the above Legendary Kiosks as well. * Improved Light Level drops. If a player is say...over 290, they should not be receiving Blue Engrams that contain 265 equipment. They should contain drops that average between 290 and 300. The same principle should apply for all Light Levels. This would also help infusion more. [b]PVE/PVP Balancing:[/b] * Consider making two separate stat tables for PVE & PVP where supers, weapons, etc. play differently between PVP & PVE. This would solve a lot of issues in my opinion if a dedicated separation of these two modes was implemented. [b]Raids:[/b] * Consider revisiting the Old Raids and updating them in new and meaningful ways. Perhaps high level version of the Raids have Taken variants and new mechanics? * The replacement or retooling of Moldering Shards. To say their worth and value is lackluster currently is an understatement. Perhaps Eris could sell a piece of King's Fall armor or weapon for a certain amount? Or, how about... instead of spending 15 Hadium Flakes (which are more uncommon and require more grinding for in my mind) for 1 Moldering Shard you can exchange your Moldering Shards for Hadium Flakes? [b]Factions:[/b] * Allow Faction Ships, Shaders, and Emblems to be purchasable from their respective Vendor instead of relying solely on Packages upon reaching a certain rank. * Have Petra sell Class Armor, and consider adding new Queen's Wrath/Guard armor and weapons for player's to work towards and buy from her. [b]Xur: [/b] * Please have Xur sell Exotic Shards again. This gripe may be minor, but there was no reason to remove this option from his inventory in the first place. [b]Grimoire:[/b] * Have a Grimoire Kiosk somewhere in the Tower where players can access the lore and cards they've acquired in game. To this day I find it baffling it's only on the app and not accessible in game. This seems like such an easy thing to implement. Anyways, those are a few things I feel that could be implemented to the Destiny to improve it's overall experience off the top of my head. Do you agree? Disagree?   • While I agree it keeps giving me arms when I need boots I'm not sure if I'll even play anymore until next challenge now it'll be do the challenge 3 times when bugger off and go play something else until next Tuesday cuase this current game is boring with next to nothing for pve players to do which gets them 320 stuff and iron banner is such a laggy cheat feast pit of a way to get rewards if your lucky.
