I believe this would be an excellent field test for all manor of weapons and perks for Bungie to seriously look at and see how people use them. I like the concept but I feel a little bit of tweaking is in order. 1. I'd avoid using the Exotic tier crates unless it's the very last stretch of the match so it's less reliant on crutch weapons 2. I think there should be something where you could pick what types of weapons would be more likely to drop (eg. You can choose to preferably have scout rifles, shotguns, and machine guns as your drop and while they are not guaranteed they will drop more than the others) 3. Since its all weapons from all expansions this will be a slight problem. (Eg people may like a blue hand cannon from HoW but it's not usable or obtainable anymore so it be a waste UNLESS Bungie brings all weapons up which is a no...) 4. This is in Crucible so light doesn't matter? If so then good 5. I feel Gunsmith rep should be added on a loss but in a smaller degree 6. Make it to where Bungie will add new and insane weapons types (such as new types like how the Sleeper Stimulant was) for is to try so they can truly test it. 7. Have a PvE death battle Royale version like PoE where this also applies so Bungie can further study weapons (and so those who suck at PvP like me [;-;] will be able to help as well) Otherwise this needs to happen

  • Thanks for the feedback FJF! 1.) My thought would be that Exotic only spawns 3 crates, and only ONCE. (Not only that, but only 1 player could reap the rewards of each crate). That, coupled by the fact that with ALL weapons, you only get X amount of ammo for it before you run out and need to replace it, means that while Exotics would be a fun part of the match, they wouldn't DOMINATE the match. I would say they would spawn in roughly halfway to 3/4 of the match, to provide some intense combat over those areas and potentially be a match turning point. 2.) Maybe, could be a selection system of some sort. I went with it being totally random to TRULY test player's diversity. Yes you will get some "unlucky" items, such as a sniper on a CQB map, but once again, this type of luck will be the same for everyone, so the true test is how players can handle the ideal weapons as well as the non-ideal. 3.) I don't see why including all weapons would be a problem. Even if the weapon isn't found anymore, it should still exist in the game's inventory (ie. for those who still have YEAR 1, TDB, HoW, gear). So letting those archetypes live on in this mode adds more variety to the weapons you can find. Remember, you don't keep the weapons after the match. 4.) This would be a regular mode so yes, light level would not matter for armor or weapons. The only variance would be the fact that Common weapons generally have less ideal stats (and less perks) than weapons of higher rarity, but thats how it goes and adds to the appeal of going for the rarer crates at a higher risk, 5.) Fair enough. Winning rep can be adjusted however, I do like the concept of having both Crucible and Gunsmith rep tie in to the mode due to its nature and premise. 6.) I think that's a great idea. Maybe there can be an insanely low chance from exotic crates (or legedary + exotic) to earn a ??? weapon. Could have a new color (red?) and could be considered a PROTOTYPE rarity. These could be hints at upcoming exotics or legendaries, but maybe to add to the mystery their names are not exactly the same, and their special perk, while active, does not have a description. Leaving some mystery to it! 7.) Cool idea!!

  • Alright that makes some sense (I like balance and such so I like to Iron things out [and I was mostly adding the selection of weapons so people will actually have a chance of doing good sometimes with weapons they feel most comfortable with but I understand what you are going for]) And regarding the prototype weapons tell what the thing can do so players will have a basic understand but leaving everything in the dark is an awesome idea but I feel they should proct a bit more often or Shaxx will say "New weapon available" when legendary weapons spawn and atleast one will be a guarantee prototype weapon but the others will differ so it's a mad mystery hunt

  • I appreciate someone else who has a keen eye for attention to detail and balance! Kudos! As for the prototype, fair enough. I do really like the concept and it provides a bit of insight into the future of Destiny making it a viable mode consistently rather than just for a little bit.
