That's funny. I don't actually hate your Giants lol. My hatred is focused on the Cowboys and the Steelers. What do you think will happen to Coughlin?

I honestly believe he won't be forced out. The Giants just aren't that kind of organization. The guy has won us two Lonbardi Trophies after all.. They'll either allow him to coach the final year remaining on his extension or he will willingly retire. I want Jerry Reese OUT though. The guy is a joke of a GM.. He does nothing but sign bargain-bin washed up free agents and has made many questionable choices with early round picks. Had he not caught lightning in a bottle with Beckham I guarantee he would be gone already. He tries to employ the 'next man up' philosophy without providing us with any depth. Just look at our libebackers.. They're pathetic. He is the one I [i]really[/i] hope gets the axe. If Coughlin calls it quits, I think there's a good chance we will promote McAdoo (OC) instead of hiring someone outside the organization. He already has a good understanding of the team and Eli has had the best two years of his career under his play calling. Even if Coughlin stays one more year I would still expect McAdoo to be handed the reigns in 2017. All we really need is a GM who isn't afraid to open up the checkbook and bring in some real talent to bolster our front seven. The defense single handedly cost us 7 wins in the final 60 seconds of the game this year, primarily because QBs had no pressure on them. We can win next year as long as we bring in more than the bare minimum. Eli isn't getting any younger and the window of opportunity before we inevitably have to rebuild is beginning to close.

I completely agree with you about Coughlin. He's shown himself to be a great coach throughout his career. Definitely one of the best coaches of the past 20 years. He deserves to go out on his terms. I'm not sure when that will be, although at 69 I guess it's likely that he will retire when his contract is up. I don't follow the NFL closely enough to evaluate the Giants but I'll have a better idea after this weekend's game ;).
