OK, after avoiding spoilers all week, I saw Episode 7 this morning. And damn.
I saw there was no place to really talk about it on here, so I decided to make a safe haven for others who have seen it. If you haven't seen it, exit this thread and go watch it. SPOILERS AHEAD, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

I can see that Rey did have some experience with a staff, and Finn could've had some Stormtrooper training, but they were really good with it to be able to handle Kylo Ren so well

1 ReplyI just love how with most of the Star Wars movies, you can't actually understand half of the people there (Droids, other races, etc.), but thanks to the human / english actors, you can interpret what they're saying.

4 Replies[spoiler]Kylo Ren is an underwhelming protagonist TBH. If he is the best The First Order has to offer, then the Knights of Ren must be a rag tag band of padawans. He should have been more of a developed character with the ability to put Fin and Rey down in an instant. The power of the darkside, was a little on the "lightside". He did not project the menance of Vader or Darth Maul. Even Asajj Ventress was more foreboding than this guy.[/spoiler]

The New First Order Star ships (I don't know what class they are) HOLY CRAP, THEY HAVE MORE DETAIL THAN EVER AND WE GET TO SEE EVERY INCH OF IT!!!! That scene where they bob and weave through the mid section of the ship was amazing, I love how they used the gaps in the ship as pathway!!!!

I think the lightsaber battle couldve been written to include Luke if they actually had the first order finding Luke. It would make more sense if Kylo was beaten by Luke and not Rey. Agree?

2 Replies[spoiler]Ok so I keep seeing people complain about how Rey and Finn pick up the lightsaber and automatically knew how to use it... You're all stupid. First of all, FINN DIDN'T KNOW HOW TO USE IT. He fought with it twice and got his ass handed to him both times!!! Second, Rey is a gonna be a Jedi... Of course it comes naturally to her! When Luke got his lightsaber in A New Hope, he was blocking shots from that practice ball thing on like his first day with it! Not to mention, when she was fighting Kylo Ren, he was injured as shit. He was shot and I believe Finn hit him once as well. Not only that, but he had just seen her force overpower his. He was scared. He was being sloppy as shit. Rey didn't necessarily have to be amazing because he was fighting like dog feces.[/spoiler]
