The simple solution is to limit PvP/Crucible to the use of very specific weapons. I suggest the weekly Gunsmith Test Weapons.

  • That's a "problem" with the community's mindset, not the weapon choice. People will always gravitate towards what they consider to be the most effective gun or whatever is flavour of the meta on reddit. Doesn't stop me from bringing in Jade rabbit or First Curse and doing work. If there were crucible specific weapons of each archetype, then I'd be forced to use the actual best gun of those because things like shots to kill and rate of fire would make even more of a difference as there'd be nothing like speed boosts from MIDA, and healing from Red Death to affect my choice.
