Hey SAAG members, welcome to the December Update! We had an exceptionally busy month in November. We’re gonna start with an update of current events, get into some future events, and then plug some more stuff! Our numbers last month grew from 30 to an impressive 294 members! The first SAAG group is maxed with clan members! If you are reading this and aren’t yet repping the clan name then follow this link, https://www.bungie.net/en/Clan/Forum/1361896, join that group, and set it as your Playstation clan. But make sure to come back here and keep reading! Also in response to this titanic growth, we added Kithicor to the Mod team and we are very excited to have him join us! We started using a new system to plan and schedule events; everything from raids to racing. You can even post your own event. We’ve had loads of new members get through their first raid events, and some have already started leading their own. This is incredible and we are so happy that everyone has started getting actively involved here! We’ve also started a YouTube channel, check it out! If you have a video that you think is cool, awesome, funny, or just neat, then share it with the community! If you feel your video needs a little pizzazz, don’t worry; Crazy Rami has agreed to be our Community Editor. On that note, Jhenso has made an AWESOME intro clip customized just for SAAG. Send in your clips and see them posted on our channel with his super cool intro! Be sure to subscribe to the clan channel, because if we can get 100 of you to subscribe, we can have a custom URL that matches our name. Fancy! Our Groupme chat rooms have swelled by the number of people we’ve had join, which is incredible! On that topic, however, there are a few things we need to address. If you are looking for an activity in particular, make sure post it in ONLY that particular chat. If you post something, and don’t immediately see any responses, be patient! There’s no need to double-post, and that kind of chat etiquette will be heavily frowned upon as we move forward. If you truly have a burning question that goes unanswered and even scrolls off the screen, feel free to try again some time later. If people are busy, people are busy. Our community is large and has a lot of come-and-go, play-when-you-can members.. These chats are to facilitate groups forming quicker, but that doesn’t mean that there are always going to be people available or interested in running what you are running, and THAT’S OKAY! But we do need to try to avoid having requests for PVE groups jump from PvE to PVP and vice versa. General chat should be generally (editor’s note: pun intended) clear of LFG. There is a PlayStation Community to join, if you are so inclined! go to communities on your friends list on your PlayStation, and search for Somewhat Above Average Gaming. Join in there, it is a great way to see what members are online, and not on your friends list. You can even create parties that only members of the Community can see and join! Now for the future events! Coming in the near future will be scheduled Raid Race events! The winners will get to hang out with the Mods on the Modcast for a short segment. The first of these events will be dropping some time in the next two weeks, and will involve the Vault of Glass. Contestants, warm up those Ice Breakers, Gjallarhorns, and Vex Mythoclasts! Start getting your teams together, and we’ll see who can post the best time. Contest rules will be posted in detail later, but getting a completion through the Vault will be the main focus. Bonus points for using no exotics! That’s all I can give you now, but keep checking the forum for more updates.
