I thinks it's a reference that The Vex are ver much alike Rasputin. They both work with Super Minds. They both operate on a program that lets them think freely but will always have a set goal. Most of all, they both run simulations to predict the future and then do what they can to prevent futures they don't like. -Vex Predicted their defeat but knew they couldn't do anything so they just kept going. -Rasputin predicted the Traveler was going to leave so Rasputin crippled the Traveler so that it could not leave. This music could either be just some random audio, or it could be revealing more lore about the Vex and Rasputin. Rasputin has used Vex Tech before, maybe he is the reason the stranger can time travel. -He used the Mythoclast Tech and more Vex Tech to creat the Pocket Infinity. -The Gunsmith used the help of Vex Cores and Rasputin Tech to craft the Sleeper Simulant -The AC/D Feedback Fence uses Vex Tech to redirect incoming melee damage and has many similarities to other Rasputin Creations. All in all, there is a lot more lore regarding the Vex, Rasputin, The Traveler, and The Stranger that is yet to be known. Good find though.

  • 1. You're -blam!-ing wrong about the Mythoclast being used to make Pocket Infinity 2. You're -blam!-ing wrong about the Feedback Fence using Vex tech, it's warsat materials 3. You're -blam!-ing overanalysing the outdated content of the shittiest excuse for a game released in 2014-15. Bungie would have put no thought into this different music crap at all, it doesn't represent anything.

  • Before they completely re-wrote the Grimoire ..(Jerks) What happened was Dr Shim (which is you btw) on Venus realizes that the Vex unit they are studying. Has created a perfect simulation of the Universe..But in that simulation they see themselves running the same test on a Vex unit that has created a perfect simulation etc etc. (Just like looking into multi mirrors. ) Realizing that they too could be a simulation (Spooky) They decide to introduce a "War Mind" into the Black Garden, as a War Mind would be too complex to simulate. And they would record the results. If they were simply a Simulation/Experiment the Vex would simply turn them off. Now Dr Shim, (Still you btw) Travels to the Cosmodrome to use Rasputin to enter the black garden, hence why you wake up there. Well long story short...Rasputin enters the Black Garden and meets the Darkness, proving that you are in fact in the real universe but this brings our civilization to a end, and it brings our existence to the attention of the Vex/Darkness... If you read the original Grimoire and count the "Scientists" and then Count the Skeletons at the Ishtar Archive, you will notice that one Skeleton is missing.

  • Just curious, what do you mean by original grimoire? How did you come to find out about all this? The grimoire now reads that the scientists do the same thing with the vex that you say, but never say anything about Rasputin or anything. Where did you get this info? It's very interesting.

  • mythoclast is pure vex, Rasputin had nothing to do with that. I do believe that Rasputin and the vex are connected though.

  • Okay, so what if the Ishtar Collective was established before Rasputin? Since we have a very hazy established timeline, I think it's possible that scientists used data from the Collective to develop Rasputin or maybe some of the other Warminds. If that is the case, then it would make sense why Omnigul and the Hive were so interested in Rasputin beyond him being an obstacle. Because the Vex's behavior was derived from the Hive.

  • The Vex we see in the Black Garden have behavior based on The Hive. Black Garden was their attempt at a Throne World.

  • No no. The grim puts it best. Each type of Vex is a solution to a particular problem. Cold and mathematic

  • What if Rasputin invented the Vex?

  • They entered this realm during a mistake in the books of sorrow. Something about a hive opening a gate when he was told not to but did anyway.

  • They are time travelers. Who is to say they werent created tomorrow and traveled though time giving the illusion of age? Rasputin is in control of almost limitless power, I guess, and is a super brain. Maybe he creates the Vex in an attempt to save humanity....

  • They may be time travelers but Rasputin has given no indications that he has that ability or any knowledge of that ability. Although he could have that power without us knowing. However that is something seriously huge. And it doesn't explain the existence of the Black Garden. Technically it has never and always existed because it exists outside the timeline. Meaning that the entire area has no objective proof of creation or destruction. It's one thing to time travel. It's another to be able to exist completely out of time. And a side note. What about the Precursors? If Rasputin created them and he was made by human hands but the Precursors were made of things way older than that...

  • Please point me in the direction of where you read the bio materials in Vex are simplistic. Looked in the grim, nothing. I remember that first mission where we had to find a brain. Ghost, from my memory, said the material was complex and was curious how the two coexisted.

  • Hobgoblin card. Radiolaria are water based, single celled organisms under the classification of Protozoa. However, they seem to be much older and simpler than other subdivisions of Protozoa. Unless they have abilities unknown to us, there is no particular reason the Vex would choose them.

  • Ok, thanks. I read that card and now I see what you are saying. could he that since radiolara will procreate like plankton, its possible the Vex are using them as a renewable energy source. The mind core is complex, from what I remember. One of the grim cards refers to converging data from ghosts pointing towards the Vex existing in our future.

Not just that, each Vex is simulating an entire universe in their mind core (vex cards 1-5). Each recreating the exact specs of the universe and then sending it into the future. Very powerful indeed. As for the power source that makes sense I suppose. Although we don't quite know what their electric output is

  • Precurser grimoire definately lends to the possibility of what I was saying. Vex we see today may be newer creations, even current ones. Vex could easily have created them tomorrow but also billions of years ago. Which is why they seem so much older than the Vex we see more of.

  • It leaves more to the imagination than anything else. It doesn't support one way or another. I was just banking on the "casings long before age of humanity". But in this instance, that data is irrelevant. I can see no definitive proof of supporting one way or the other. And it is said "that which is proved without evidence can be dismissed without evidence" However, I am extremely curious on this. I may have to go through the lore again with this theory in mind because it is interesting and not at all beyond Bungie
