I love when new players defend a game they know noting about, just wait until you get that awesome weapon, that is taken away 6 months later.[spoiler]if this pvp is your idea of competitive, you must really suck[/spoiler]

It's an awesome weapon of my gets taken away in six months, and it becomes an entirely different game, that means that $60 I don't have to spend out a new one. Stop looking at the game is something that won't change dramatically over time. This is in a call of duty title that you can go back to you after three years and expect everything to be the exact same as when you left it. This is a new type of game. Yes, six months from now when I'm older and wiser in the ways of destiny, I might be tired of it. I would be tired of any game at that point though. So who really cares?

Wait - $60? Did you know that the expansion that you just mentioned you wouldn't have to buy cost some people the entire cost of the game? So it is another $60 to not have the stuff you paid the original $60 for... And it may not be 6 months... maybe less. Last year we played for about 4- months, then found out we could keep everything we found, if we grind more, and then start over with every one of them (some which took hours each) - TDB debacle with exotics.
