Aim Assist does not aim for people. It simply slows the reticle when hovering over an enemy, the higher the AA, the slower the reticle moves.

Nope. Stick aim is the same no matter what your aim assist stat is. Increase your aim assist increases bullet magnetism

You just blew my mind. Lol. Thank you for the evidence. I still do not believe, however, that the bullet magnetism on snipers, which is being complained about, is sufficient enough to say that they are imbalanced or over powered. -Just saying

Aim assist is 100% not linked to bullet magnetism at all. Go do your research and you'll be proven wrong. I'm not trying to sound like a dîck but what you're saying is false. Aim assist only allows the reticle to more easily slow down when hovering over a target. For example, if aimed down on an enemy, and the enemy moves slowly, the reticle will follow the target. Bullet magnetism is not factored into aim assist at all. That is just false knowledge. It's been proven. I'm not positive but I believe even some you tubers have done a bit of myth busting and proved this "bullet magnetism" theory wrong.

You have it backwards. Aim assist does not effect reticle slow down. It DOES effect bullet magnetism.

That is not a reliable source. Planet Destiny made some videos in it. Also, https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/170131386/0/0

Planet destiny's video was incorrect. The this is a good source

That's just flat out wrong. There is a certain factor called a "hitbox" but bullet magnetism, and Aim Assist are mostly unrelated. Aim Assist is not the culprit of all the times you've died from dank scopes

Edited by Dexter307: 12/3/2015 1:47:14 AMAim assist is directly tied to bullet magnetism. More aim assist = more forgiving bullet magnetism
