In forza, a vinyl is just a graphic that you create, like the fwc logo on my car. When making a vinyl, there's a list of shapes that you can use, and you have to alter those shapes (size, position, skew, spin, etc.) and layer them. For example, take the F from the fwc logo. To make it, I simply used three straight rectangles and a curved one. Once you can break an image down into simple shapes like that, making the vinyl becomes easy. That letter was an easy example, though; some vinyls require much more delicate placement and arranging.
