So I got this invite to a party that I didn't even want to go.
I honestly have too much work to do right now and If I were to go it would be out of pure respect , I would rather spend my time doing important things.
Any good believable excuses?
Or should I just be honest

Be honest. Kissing up to people will just cause future stress.

Parties are usually loud and have too many people. Those are reason enough for me not to want to go. I prefer a simple night with 4 friends max

"Fuсk you I don't want to come." That one's the best.

Are you in high school or something? Just say no, you don't even need to give a reason, just say you don't feel like it. Or is this like a work party or something? Like with your colleagues? That's the only scenario where I could see an excuse being needed. Otherwise a simple "nah" or "I've got too much work" will do

I don't want to go. It's that easy.

Say you have business in the Caribbean but offer no details. #intrigue

All these lame excuses.. Meanwhile the best one is almost always the most genuine: "I've got stuff to do". It's so simple really.

Don't make an excuse, just tell them you have a lot to do. Making excuses to get out of something shows that you aren't confident enough to stand your ground against others opinions. Rid yourself of that insecurity.
