Shotgun nerf is unnecessary and overkill
Like the title says. The December shotgun nerf will make them unusable. It's overkill. They already almost always require a follow up melee to kill. I honestly think bungie wants them to be unusable.
Before anyone calls me a shotgun scrub complaining about the nerf, check my kill count with them compared to other weapons. I'm quite the opposite.

I'm quite the opposite.[/quote] I just played a match where an entire team of hunters were running blink/sniper combos. So not only was it painfully difficult to get close to them, once you did get close enough to cancel out their snipers they'd blink and run away. Very frustrating and with the nerf coming to shotguns this is what PVP is going to turn to.

The truth is pvp is whats ruining this game. Destiny isn't fit to have pvp, they probably just added it to attract more players and increase its lifespan but it turned out to be a burden because of all the time Bungie wastes trying to please crucible players. Most of the big patches could've potentially been new content and improvements but end up being focused on balancing stuff because of people's complaints on pvp and pve players always get -blam!-ed over. Fusion rifles: Nerfed Auto rifles: Nerfed Hand cannons: Nerfed Now shottys are being nerfed to the ground and eventually sunbreakers will get rekt too. All because of the damn crucible.

No need for this nerf it's been my only counter for H0es of SOL A simple tune up for other primaries would've been fair, I've gone up against people using all pulse rifles using a auto to hand cannon that was test weapon and did exceptionally well against them(pulse rifle users) overall I'd win 3/4 gun fights 1v1 then 3/5 of the time against two or more players and or at least taking one of them with me.

Agree I use snipers than shotguns but I think shotguns are fine the way they are and the nerf on them is overboard
