Doing Fears Embrace on Phobos. At the end with the Echo of Oryx. And the adds are just demolishing me.
Why is this mission so difficult? I've had no problems with all the others solo so far?
About to go insane..
Edit: omfg I can't believe this is trending. Sorry to the grammar -godwinslaw!- for using literally in a pastense...
But thanks community for all of the suggestions and feedback. I've never had a topic explode like this did. And I'm glad I'm not the only one wanting to break stuff.

If you're a defender, camp by the door and place the bubble in the doorway so you can relax for a bit. Pop a synth or something, easiest way to do it
-
Camp the door with a sniper, mg, and scout. It is the only easy way without a fireteam.
-
I found it best to stay in the doorway.
-
Echoes are easy to kill. Supers and snipers. Nuff said
-
It's not to hard but can be challenging
-
It's not impossible. Solo'd it and I help people with it all the time. Don't try and use a side arm doing it lol. Get an arc secondary, void heavy. Those are the shield types you fight.
-
Red Death BladeDancer Get by a ramp area, kill the close blight, use red death to clean out. things get hairy, use your melee to disappear It's not easy but focus on the adds first. Grenades and rockets for phalanxes and minotaurs
-
I used my sniper to score headshots and a heavy mg for extra damage. Took me a few tries since the adds kept killing me, but going invis bladedancer helped a lot
-
Also u dont actually have to kill the echo to finish the quest just get his health low
-
Hide in the hallway that you enter the room from. Kill ads as they approach, shoot echo with heavy like Sleeper. You can do it solo this way.
-
I soloed it on a Sunsinger warlock and a Sunbreaker titan. It required about 4-6 runs each time but basicly you need to play defensive as all hell. I hid and killed what adds I could where I could how I could, then damaged the boss only enough to spawn the wizard; went HAM on the wizard and said phuck it im out.
-
Just get him down to half health then kill wizard and head to orbit
-
I've done it solo and duo, which actually felt easier than when we three manned it (although we were mich lower light back then when we three manned it) Rockets + sniper, for the huge spike DPS, and then Red Death (for the life saving heals) is what I used - that and playing very defensively, whilst focusing on clearing the add waves as quickly as possible to create space to move. Hope that helps!

When I beat it I felt so accomplished

Edited by Kratoz_SH: 11/27/2015 10:44:09 AMIt's easier if you are at least two. My solo strat was (mission and ToM which was a lot harder): Hide in the little room. Snipe and primary at Oryx. Use some good closeup primary (I used Red Death for health regen) for adds. Use heavy machine gun, grenades and super for bigger adds when they come. I did it solo so you can to! Good luck guardian! :)

Well not literally
-
Spawn, hide, snipe the boss a few times, done. I struggled at first it is difficult to do alone until you find a good spot.
-
So hard, but did in like 5 tries hiding in the doorway with my Ruin Wake, 1k stare and Jade Rabbit.
-
I soloed that mission, it was way too easy. But I couldn't solo the ToM version of the mission and had to get a team to come in.
-
What Subclass are you attempting it with?
-
Use Red Death! It saved me so many times from dying instantly.
-
I solo'd it with some difficult at light 302. I advice try to find a friend to help out it all goes a lot smoother an not such a hassle
-
Stay in the doorway until the wizard comes, then leave as soon as you kill the wizard. Takes like 1 - 2 minutes
-
I found it hard too.... Red death and decent sniper should do the trick
-
Took me over ten tries.
-
It was easy for me
