I think i may have found this also. Hard to say though because there are so many buildings haha I do have a vague memory of a building like this and pressing a button that did nothing. I think i put it down to removing the fusion core before pressing the button. This could just be a memory implanted by the institute and i'm actually a synth.

That's a pretty strong theory haha When I used the button, nothing happened either. I did take out that fusion core first though as well, so wondering if that played a part. Maybe it's all a clue?

I'm on a second playthrough now and i'm around that area, so I can check it out again. I'll let you know the results.

Pretty sure the button does nothing haha I climbed on top of the caged off room and entered through the roof and pressed it expecting that it would open the door from the inside but i just got stuck in there. Reading the terminal it seems the foreman stayed holed up in the factory after the bombs so it could be a dungeon that was abandoned in production.
