I'm sick of all these Pvp tryhards claiming it takes more skill to be consistently good in pvp as opposed to Pve. I've compiled a list of reasons backing up the fact that Pve players are more skilled.
1) a. sniping takes almost no skill in pvp. One headshot and you're done. I assume this is widely known but I included it for those who didn't know
B. sniping in pve requires you to consistently get headshots on your target (usually a boss).
2) Half of most people's kills in pvp are clean up kills. Your teammates lower the guy and you finish him off. It's nothing but team shooting and other cheap kills
3) a. In pvp, you're often matched against mindless kids and new players that practically kill themselves.
B. In pve, however, you're going against combatants being controlled by bungie themselves
4) a. In pvp, you're able to respawn almost instantly. You made a mistake and died? Just press x or square and jump right back into the action.
B. Pve requires you to wait 30 seconds, or in some cases, you can't respawn until your teammates revive you.
5) Opponents in pvp have around a miniscule 200 health. That's close to nothing compared to powerful pve bosses like golgoroth who has about 12 MILLION health. Take a fatebringer in pvp and you've killed someone in 2 headshots and a body shot. Take one in the raid and it's taking 6 or more shots to kill knights and other common enemies.
6) Speaking of bosses, where are the bosses in pvp? That's right... there aren't any. Because it's not pve.
7) Pve still has the only impossible to kill enemy. Gorgons not only have seemingly infinite health, you only have a few seconds to damage them. Sunbreakers seem to be impossible to kill; but, unlike a gorgon, they eventually will die.

No. 1 is 100% wrong. As a balanced destiny player( I take part in both endgame activities and am good at both pve endgame and pvp) i can tell you pvp sniping takes A LOT more skill. The first reason is because in pvp the opponents head is a lot smaller than these bosses crits. It is much harder to hit a guardian rather than a non moving target. Second, in pvp if you miss your first 1-2 shots on a smaller, moving target then you will most likely end up dead or at a significant disadvantage. Yes you have to hit the boss in pve multiple times, but they are not moving and have a large crit. Pvp sniping takes more skill. Hands down.

11 RepliesPvE is the easiest thing I have ever done in my life. Shooting nerf guns and emptying rounds into mindless bullet sponges isn't fun or impressive lol

That's right... there aren't any. Because it's not pve. The bosses are the skilled pvp players. Some of them are quite amazing at what they do. 7) Pve still has the only impossible to kill enemy. Gorgons not only have seemingly infinite health, you only have a few seconds to damage them. Sunbreakers seem to be impossible to kill; but, unlike a gorgon, they eventually will die. The gorgons aren't impossible to kill, you even get a card for doing it. Read an article once of an interview with a dev that said basically if they want to make an unkillable boss they can. It's simple coding. But then who would want to play. I'm not saying one takes more skill then another. They do require different skills to be mastered. One is more puzzle solving and sticking to a plan while the other requires more ongoing observation of surroundings and quick reaction
3 RepliesEdited by TkoR Demon: 12/2/2015 10:07:04 PMPeople should just stop using 'Destiny' and 'skill' in the same sentence. Actually related to your post, Gorgons can in fact die, but the rest of them gain invincibility for a while after one is killed.

Your argument is invalid. Pve mechanics dont change. You do the same thing each time to win. Pvp is spontaneous. You dont turn a corner knowing exactly where too shoot in pvp
