The Perfect Update: Deej/Cozmo please Read (it's ok there's no hate in my post

Well, not entirely. Nothing can be perfect, but I do believe perhaps if there was an update like this, a majority of recent issues can be solved. Destiny Update X (The One that Brings everything back) [b]Patrol[/b] [spoiler]-Patrol can now hold 6 in a fireteam instead of 3 -Added more spawning areas for chests -Being lvl 30+ will increase your chance at getting legendary engrams from a chest -Each patrol now has a lvl 42 difficulty (recommended light for it is 280) -Heroic Patrol has an increase in enemies, an increase in their aggressiveness, and an increase in legendary loot. Decreases chest spawns on heroic patrol, however increased rewards. -Exotics have a small chance to drop from chests in heroic patrol -Enemies move against each other more often in heroic patrol, last longer, and are much more aggressive...Skywatch hype[/spoiler] -We added new areas and bosses to the vanilla patrols [u]Earth[/u]- [spoiler]Added Jovian Complex, Devil's Spire and Lair and King's Watch to patrol. There are nine bosses. Killing the Spider Tank spawns in a chest. Archon Rising now appears every time you enter that area (although it does have a respawn time). The three dark below enemies are still there, and won't be going anywhere. Good luck finding the 4 new ones. Pikes can be found lying around in caves and such[/spoiler] [u]Moon[/u]- [spoiler]Added Traitor's Ketch, the Summoning Pits, and Some other areas of the hellmouth that haven't been available in patrol. There are three new bosses. The hellmouth now is an open area for people outside of your fire team. Pikes can be found lying around in caves, and such.[/spoiler] [u]Venus[/u]- [spoiler]Added more interior to the Winter's Ketch and the Terminus. The big gate in the terminus will teleport you back down. There are 4 new patrol bosses. Good luck finding them. Heavy Pikes are available again.[/spoiler] [u]Mars[/u]- [spoiler]Added more to Clovis Bray, Valus Tu'aurch's battle arena and the black garden, which can be assessable by going through the gate or traveling down to tharsis junction. There will be patrol beacons on the black garden. There are 6 new bosses. Good luck finding them all.[/spoiler] [b]Strikes[/b] [spoiler]-Added strike Voting. You can vote between two strikes. -Strikes should never repeat themselves -Added more Strike specific rewards -All other year one strikes will be available in TTK strike playlists - Vanguard Heroic strikes now grant legendary marks by 9 strikes per week -Reduced all Vanilla strike boss health (besides Valus and Flayers) health by 15% -Omnigul now drops down Vestiges -Cursed Thralls spawn in Omnigul arena Tripled (Enjoy hell) -Reduced ads in the Omnigul arena -Phogoth shoots Axiom Darts -Sepkis Prime's Void Bolts track -High Servitors will Heal the Archon Priest substantially[/spoiler] [b]Prison of Elders[/b] [spoiler] -Prison of Elders now has two difficulties -35 and 40 (recommended light is 190 and 280) -35 will be the new 28 -40 will be a combination of 32,34, and 35 -40 will have matchmaking and voting -reduced round from 5-4. The round will now be completely random for both difficulties. There will be no modifiers for the lvl 40 -Reduced all Poe boss health by 10% -Skolas health reduced by 5% -the amount of Archon Servant spawns in the Kaliks reborn missions have been reduced. They also all spawn in the middle -Dismantling mines has been replaced with destroying mines in the Skolas fight -Variks will no longer sell a weekly piece of armor and weapon. Only judgements chance will be there. All Variks' class items have been updated for year two. PoE weapons have a new (taken skin design) and will drop randomly from bosses and Chests -35 will drop 190-280 -40 will drop 290-300 -PoE armor sets have come to year two. Drop are just as the weapons -Queens wrath armor and weapons are also coming to year two, and will drop from PoE and reward packages from Petra -these weapons will not have Reforging as their y1 variant had -PoE will have a Weekly lvl 42 (300) mission chosen randomly from the 6 from 40. 42 will have modifiers...random modifiers. -Gear from 42 will drop at 300-310 -42 will not have matchmaking[/spoiler] [b]Raids[/b] [spoiler]Raids will now have a legacy edition and a heroic edition. Legacy is normal y1 raid that drops everything from the y1 raid's loot table. Heroic is the hard raid that has y2 variant gear [u]VoG[/u] -heroic will be at lvl 35 (280) -gear will drop around 270-280 -VoG armor sets have been brought to year 2. However perks will be redesigned -VoG weapons will have oracle disruptor unlocked -Primaries won't have elemental damage -weapons will follow king's fall weapons in terms of perk setup Concrete perk: Adrift- Weapons are stronger outside of time -Atheon's Epilogue -Preadyth's Timepiece -Vision of Confluence -Fatebringer Preadyth's Revenge- ((is solar)increased to 5 in the mag) Found Verdict- (reduced range) Praetorian's Foil- (is void) No Heavy Weapons Y2 VoG weapons will have a red tint Y2 Vex can drop from Atheon [u]Crota's End[/u] -heroic will be at 38 (290) -gear will drop at 290-300 -armor sets come to year two//same rules apply -The weapons will have hive disruptor unlocked. All CE weapons will have Life Support as their first perk -Change bridge encounter, can no longer be cheesable -Chalice of light is now a giant orb that does more than heals you. You do damage gatekeepers in the orb. Killing the gatekeeper grants your team a 60 second buff which deals more damage to Crota's shield. -Weapons available in y2 Crota's end: -Abyss Defiant -Sword Breaker -Word of Crota -Fang of Ir Yut -Hunger of Crota Loot drops as engrams from bosses now. And completing non-boss sections of the raid spawn chests[/spoiler] [b]PvP[/b] [spoiler]-Added combined arms as a permanent Gamemode. -Combined arms is now 9 v 9 tower defense gamemode -Heavy Pikes now spawn in combined arms -Mayhem is now permanently available too -Crucible now has map voting between 3 maps -Added Private Matches. Can have up to 12 people, or 18 if you're playing combined arms -To unlock private matches, you must become one of Lord Shaax's Redjacks -Gun Balancing- I'll let Bungie do this one -Added Dwindler's Ridge as a 3v3 and 2v2 map (Dwindler's ridge is where Shin Malphur and Dredgen Yor had a standoff.)[/spoiler] [b]Vendors[/b] [spoiler]-You can now sell planetary materials for glimmer and legendary marks. -Primary synths can now be sold for faction rep -Lord Shaax will be selling a slew of taunt emotes. Xur will sell exotic shards again[/spoiler] [b]Bounties[/b] [spoiler]Bounty tracker will now have three weekly bounties called Legacy Bounties -completing these bounties will have a guaranteed reward of getting a legacy weapon or armor -legacy weapons and or armor are y1 crucible and vanguard gear that have been brought to year two. This includes items like the devil you know, light/beware, the badger Ccl, and the one/one synthesis.[/spoiler] [b]Economy[/b] [spoiler]- Xur sells exotic shards again. Strange coins can also drop in packs of 3-5 from enemies.[/spoiler] [b]App[/b] [spoiler]There will be a new section of the app called Shader Maker. Go ahead and make your own shader with the huge color scale and special effects we provide. Submit it to us with its name and it may have a chance of coming to Destiny. We'll be adding approximately 20 shaders each week. This can be increased if more people are submitting shaders. If this goes well. We'll start working on Emblem Makers, Sparrow Makers, and Ship Makers. -Clan emblems- admins, You can now choose between 50 different exotic Emblems on the app for your clan emblem.[/spoiler] [b]Emblems[/b] [spoiler]Achievements now have in game emblems. They'll be available in your kiosk if you've already beaten those achievements[/spoiler] [b]In Game Lfg[/b] [spoiler]There will be a new Kiosk in the hall of guardians where you can connect to guardians who need to do something you also need to do. The kiosk will have clan support and will also have a section for first timers. The lfg system will be based off of location and connections.[/spoiler] [b]Kinetic Damage[/b]- [spoiler]Increase damage dealt to enemy's Health-not shields- by 15%[/spoiler] [b]Elemental Damage[/b]- [spoiler]stripped all weapons except fusion rifles, swords, and exotics of their elemental damage. Added three new items that can infuse elemental damage to the kinetic weapon of your choice (except exotics). Refund elemental items by going to the gunsmith and extracting the elemental core. Gun will return to kinetic. You cannot extract elemental cores from fusion rifles, exotics, or swords. -Elemental damage to enemy health bars-not shields- has been reduced by 10% -Solar-added a new effect prevents enemies from regaining health or shields for a short period of time -Void-added a new effect that lowers the enemy's accuracy for a short period of time -Arc-added a new effect that excites the enemy, but lowers their armor for a short period of time[/spoiler] [b]Elemental exotics, fusion rifles, and swords are exempted from the elemental Nerf. They'll have the same attack that they have now.[/b] [b]Grimoire[/b]- [spoiler]there will be another Kiosk in the Hall of guardians where you can read Grimoire cards.[/spoiler] I enjoy Destiny. A lot. So much so I went out of my way to make this post. If anyone from Bungie reads this, just remember that people care this much about your game. I know that these ideas might not be able to be in the game due to limitations and other issues, but I still think you're going in the right direction, but you still got a long way ahead of you.     • Bungie should hire this guy as design lead ASAP If I'm honest though ever since the TTK release I feel I have a better idea if Bungie's plan for Destiny, and I can see all of this coming to the game in future. I used to complain about the lack of content in year 1, but now I think I understand the full scope of Destiny's ambition and year 1 was just laying the foundations for that plan. I hope I'll be proven correct in thinking that now that that's out of the way technically and financially we'll see this game grow in leaps and bounds. If my perception of Bungie's vision is accurate, then damn what they're doing is already impressive.

      Not sure if your looking anymore. I read a bit of your ideas and I'm loving then, didn't read all but I have some ideas to share too. Pre TTK ideas [spoiler]-no exotic game mode -community designed exotics (some kind of contest maybe) -raid mechanics in pvp(Poe mines, oracles, sword/artifacts) -leveled patrols -rewarding treasure hunts in patrol (weapon part caches, legendary stuff, misc) -interesting end game pve game modes (ex. Vanguard Battle Gauntlet: series of relatable story missions with a high difficulty (difficulty comes from enemies hyper aggressiveness, increased movement speeds and larger groups). -letting the outfitter color weapons, exotics, sparrows, and ships -letting the ship/sparrow vendor upgrade your sparrow. (Aesthetics, speed boosters, interesting perks-sparrow can jump or create an overshield in front.) -new aesthetic items like the jackolite and flight of shadows -ship aesthetics (rainbow contrails, your ship does tricks while in the loading screen) -more interesting armor perks and armor rerolls (faster speed, increased stability on a weapon type, reverse of crowd control where kills give a slight armor boost for 3-4 seconds) -bounties to power up underpowered exotics, additional perks maybe (skull fort, dragons breath, arachnid, you know the rest.) -better/new end game rewards (some ex., Boon of Legends: fully upgrade a legendary, Boon of Exotics: fully upgrade an exotic, True Ascension: max a armor piece's attributes)[/spoiler] This is some ideas I had a while ago in a list. I just shared. It probably copies some of what you said.

    • For weapon balance I'd say something like Auto Rifles: Damage increased by 2% Pulse Rifles: Made damage drop off more visable and reduced damage by 2% Hand Cannons: Mag size on high-mag weapons in creased by 2 bullets and increased range and stability Scout rifles: No changes Shotguns: Slightly reduced range, shotguns with longer range get mag size reduction. 2% damage decrease Snipers: Aim assist loward. Luck in the chamber only applies to low-impact snipers. Fusion rifles: Projectiles have faster velocity, increased damage and range, 2% faster charge time Sidearms: No change Machine guns: No change Rockets: No change Swords: No change Exotics No Time To Explain: Mag size increased from 24 to 28 First Curse: Mag size increased to 11 with sightly more stability and faster reload. Fabian Stratagy: Exotic Perk is now noticable. Black Spindle: Rate of Fire increased Supers Hammer of Sol: armor reduction by 5% Storm trance: Reduced time. Armor increased while using. Storm trance now has a 40% armor increase and 5% more mobility. Shadow Shot: Range of teather increased. Suppresion and teather effects happen instantly. If you guys think some other stuff needs changing tell me. These are my opinions, judge them however you want.

        • Well Done, Valus!!!!!! I completely agree with you. Make the grind fun again!!!! I would love to be able to go back and forth between year 1 and year 2 content and get all year 2 loot!!!! Make year one activities relevant again and make all year 1 activities have a year 2 difficulty option! On a side note, I would also like to have payment options with the vendors, let us spend our useless materials for materials that we need! I don't need 752 blue polyphages, I don't need 3,000 armor parts, I DO NEED weapon parts (I have 13 weapon parts)!!! below is an excerpt from my post a while back #MarksForParts. I believe all vendors should have multiple payment options just like the new Faction Rep gains you can do with any of the Faction leaders! For example, have the gunsmith sell weapon and armor parts for glimmer, have quartermaster sell parts for marks, speaker sell parts for motes, xur sell parts for coins, variks sell parts for worthless etheric light or ether seeds, Eris sell parts for black wax, pick someone to sell parts for blue polyphage and resupply codes ect. Bottom line give players more payment options for everything, that way the individual can pick and choose what they want to sacrifice for their particular needed item.

            • Good ideas in here but the shader thing in the app needs to not happen. not only is it a shit ton of strain on Bungie but it'll release some bad feedback and awful community submissions. I like your idea for patrol, and it's something I'm on board with. "Tower defense" please no, add in some more vehicles for combined arms, go on with 9v9 but keep its chaos. I think it's a great idea for elemental damage to have cores, make sure it's expensive to change damage types though. And I think giving each elemental damaging weapon is a little over the top, too much added effect. We don't need more two shotting weapons. I'm also wondering what shaxx will be asking for to get those emotes. And strange coins dropping 3-5 from enemies is ridiculous, why would we spam our inventories like that? Other then that, I think we're going on a good set here.
