Feedback on Raid rewards

Many of you have expressed feedback on the current state of Raid rewards in [url=https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/173128942/0/0]this thread[/url]. Also [url=https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/173274395/0/0]here[/url], and even [url=https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/173056904/0/0]here[/url], among other places. Rather than go and response to every post I am going to address them all in this post. We are listening to all of your feedback and ideas on how to improve rewards for completing one of Destiny's greatest challenges. I have made sure these posts have made it to the right people. I'm also adding "Improvement to Raid rewards" to the [url=https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/140885111/0/0]#CommunityWishList[/url], but don't have any immediate changes to announce right now. Please continue to post your thoughts and ideas on how to better improve rewards, and everything else you would like to see changed.

I dont know if you have already thought of this but i have suggestion that i feel would give both players and developers the best experience from [b]Eververse Trading Company[/b]. [b]Emote button mapping:[/b] As you offer us more emotes to buy and show off in the world of destiny it kind of disappoints that we can only use one at a time. Please allow us button mapping to be able to decide what emotes we want to use on our directional pad! This would customize the player experience much more and allow us guardians to really enjoy our own personalities in game. Please consider. Thank you bungie! #TooManyEmotesNotEnoughButtons

      In my opinion: -Hard mode rewards 311+ -Moldering shards removed from Oryx drop table. -Moldering shards removed from the 20 moldering shard drop table. I think this will create much more of a drive to finish Oryx, and complete hard mode. By removing the junk drop from the table it will leave an open space for other better items (helmets and primaries) to drop more often to the public. This is generally what the Raiding Community wants. Thanks :)

      I think there should be an increase in helmets. I have only gotten one helmet and I have I think around 20 Kings' Fall completions

      • The one bit of feedback I'll give that should've been a little obvious was that it was a bad idea to give normal raid rewards from 300-310, and then the hard mode from 310-320. It should have had hard mode raid gear set at 311-320 instead. That way at least if you got something you had at 310 already from normal mode that you could have the possibility of hard mode raid gear being better than what you have, even if only by a point. Can't tell you the number of randoms I played with and my normal raid group that complained about this. Other issues I will not speak on as its already been said before that I've seen in forums so I hope you've already taken the time to look at those.

      • I personally think we should get a certain defense rate and attack rate after a certain part of the raid. Like once we finish golgoroth and the war priest weapons and armor should drop from between 310-315, whereas once we get to the sisters and oryx we should get 315-320 drops along with the harder things to get in the raid. I also think the exotic chest needs a slight boost to the drop rate of exotics, I think the exotics you get should be 320

      • I heard the challenge this week is super hard and players are taking hour up on hours to do it for only 320 two items..

          I haven't had any problems with rewards. My first time running hard, only got through the warpriest but he dropped a harrowed defiance of yasmin at 316. My last normal completion was with a 285 character and got 310 pulse and 310 rocket launcher as well as 303 boots. Rng is rng.

        • Why evertime I do the hard raid I keep getting the same stuff legs and marks. Played 20 times and also have 20 moldering shards and it's the same.

            It feels like I'm crawling up to 310 at this point. Can I please stop getting lower level raid drops than the gear I already have equipped. I'd like to be able to attempt the hard mode raid before destiny 2 comes out.

          • Bungie needs to stop smoking crack and fix their g o dd a m n game, had the golgoroth check point, someone left and so we went to orbit to re synchronize the fireteam, and we started the raid again on hard mode and we find ourselves at Oryx, how the f u c k am I supposed to do the challenge mode if you send us to Oryx because we can't find experienced players or players that stick with it, we went to orbit because of the LLLLLLLLLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG! get your f u c k i n g s h i t together bungie

            • Make oryx have a guaranteed primary weapon drop for all players, the last 3 times I have beaten him I have not even gotten one primary weapon, in fact the best thing I got was an exotic engram off one of the shades.

            • So I ran the hm raid 3+ times yesterday and the only items I got over 310 was on challenge mode and it's like this almost every week. I have over 50 raid weapons not counting the weapons I infused or just deleted and only a handful are over 310. There is only 1 weapon close to 320 that I didn't acquire from challenge mode. I should not be receiving a 304-305 primary if I'm lucky enough to get one on hm. With 25+ hm raids completed I only have 2 primary weapons over 310. The only time I did trials bounties to complete the gold tier I got a 309 primary now why in the world do I get better rewards from something that takes no skill at all?

            • I'd love to see certain raid primary weapons perform better. You know which ones I mean and what's wrong with them, so I'll leave it at that. "Infusion fodder" should not be a design goal for these weapons.

              I am 310+ and i loot a legendary crucible auto rifle at 290 attack in nightfall ? Seriously ?

              • I think raid rewards should drop at least close to our light level of not higher, that way it doesn't feel like a waste of time to do the raid

                    I think a great way of fixing raid is very simple guaranteed loot and leveling scaling on the loot for an example I'm a 317 with all of my best gear raid loot should scale based on light for an example you can only get weapons and armor 3 points lower than your current light level with a significantly higher chance of getting something 3 points higher and a low chance of getting something 3+ points higher than your current light level this logic should be applied to most activities with different point scales to match your light level. Iron banner should be fixed as such 290 gear just legendary marks 300 gear legendary marks and 25 motes of light 310 gear legendary marks and 50 motes of light 320 gear legendary marks and 100 motes of light Personally let's all admit it if you increased the drop rates of motes of light in iron banner this would be a great system for getting good gear Obviously the 320 gear would pretty difficult to get and make you think twice before using all of your motes to level up that nice new piece of raid gear you got Weapons will only be sold up to 310 we all can't be perfect we all need something to strive for Also the scaling system would apply to rank five and three packages ( translation you need to rely on Rng for the nice 320 gear ) Weapons will also be more expensive 290 :20 motes plus marks 300 :50 motes plus marks 310 :80 motes plus marks The higher your iron banner rank the higher the gear you'll be able to purchase All 290 armor rank 2 All 290 weapons and 300 armor rank 3 All 300 weapons and 310 armor rank 4 All 310 weapons and 320 armor rank 5 All the gear will not differentiate based on leveling so there will be no differences other than the attack/defense stat of the gear Also we should make it more difficult to make it to rank five ( I personally make it there by day 4 of the event ) we should up the rank bonus from completing a match and the amount of rep you need for each rank and then increase the amount of daily bounties to five or six Also the amount increase from the tempered buff should be lowered for bounties (personally I save all of my weekly bounties and use them and the daily when I'm at rank four and then I'm rank five) That just is way too easy to rank up by the point you reach rank four I'm usually on the third or fourth day which makes it way too easy with the tempered buff I want to actually have to work a bit and get myself halfway to rank five then use all my bounties and be rank five. Not just grind all my bounties when I hit four I feel like it's a little too easy.
