Hello fellow Guardians, hello Bungie, in the latest weekly update (https://www.bungie.net/7_Bungie-Weekly-Update--11052015/en/News/News?aid=13945) I have read this: [quote]We’re looking at all the numbers. [/quote] So people like Ms 5ooo Watts and myself were thinking: Hammer of Sol is soon going to be nerfed. If that's the case let me just tell you this: I am a PvP player with over 2,000 games in the Crucible (http://destinytracker.com/destiny/player/xbox/lightnings0ul). My first char was a Titan and after noticing the Hunter and Warlock subclasses owning in PvP I created a Warlock and a Hunter in December, 2014. My best games have been on a Void Walker (teleport + shotgun - yeah I am not proud of that) and a Blade Dancer (teleport + shotgun - not proud of it either). And now, after The Taken King the Titan finally gets one good ability (ok, lightning grenades on the Striker were pretty good with Armamentarium): The Hammer of Sol. And now after Hunters and Warlocks bitching around about it being OP you will nerf it? Seriously? The Super will never win you a game. 90% of the game is being won by weapons and the classes abilities (blink, shade-step, warlock melee over 30 feet, overshield after a melee hit, double grenades, ...) and you decide it's a good idea to nerf the Sunbreaker? The Sunbreaker isn't even the best class in PvP as of now. Its Hammer of Sol is pretty strong, yeah. But you can counter it with almost any Super (Nova bomb?! Fist of Havoc? Maybe two rounds from Golden Gun? Storm Trance with Landfall? ...), kill it with a body shot from Sleeper, kill it with Invective or 4th Horse Men, snipe it and then oneshot it with a primary or throw a grenade. So if you wanna nerf the Sunbreaker, please do! Just take the entire Super out of that class (I don't need it anyways) and give the Sunbreaker blink + throwing knives + tripmine grenade and put in an Armamentarium year 2 version. We will see about what is OP then, won't we my fellow Hunters? :) Thank you for reading and have a good one.

  • Hey salty warlocks and hunters, Give titans a freakin break. There are lot of ways to counter HoS, or u can just dodge em, you know. Whining and crying for a nerf everytime wont make u good at pvp. Just sit ur ass down and play the game u bunch of cry babies.

I'd happily give you 2 throwing knives, 2 tripmine grenades, and blink at the cost of your super that allows you to basically throw something as damaging as a nova bomb 6 times while having the armour of a radiant skin warlock that allows you full regeration aswell as an overshield after every kill.

      • Here's some ways to beat them: -suppressor grenades -tether -FOH -Nova bomb -black spindle (headshot will kill them even if they have max armor) -one sniper shot and one primary shot -more than one competent team mate -grenades stick and one primary shot -run away when you hear the super activate -use your own super to kill them Honestly just don't take them on 1 v 1 unless your at a distance and you will be good. Hope this helps because way too many people post how "op" they are.

        • But sunbreakers suck. All they do is make your grenade last longer even then the enemy ai is programmed to get away from it. Lol couldn't you just say sunbreaker instead of sunbreaker and hammer of sol seeing as how hammer branches off into sunbreaker?

        • The fact you can throw at least 8 hammers and don't have to hit you compared to what other super? Even the other Titan class as defender the bubble is a one hit kills the bubble no matter what type it is gg takes two shot to kill the bubble out tell me what other class can u not use your super and do that unless u run in and kill them from behind. Stop and look I have all 3 classes my fav. Pvp is hunter very good for me in pvp. But pve I choose Titan because of the hell u can unleash with it. The Titan in pvp because of the hammer and it destruction is the major reason for running it most supers don't have a chance like another Titan does but if the hit u or u run out right before you can throw a hammer your dead. So yeah it's over powered. If you want to see what over powered is give gg the more than 3 shots give it 6 and ask me if its op then.

              1. You have an insane melee damage 2. You have a super that heals [b]and[/b] lasts forever 3. grenade and melee kills heal you, no other class does both. 4. You have 3 amazing grenades. 5. Your super is ranged and detonates when close to someone, no need for a direct hit. 6. Sunspots leave an AoE that in addition to damaging us, buffs you guys. 7. Titan skating allows for more mobility than GG, storm caller, BD, and radiance. 8. Your armor by default is as strong as a self res using ram, you know the thing EVERYONE complained about even though you had to spec for it and forego a lot of better exotics to use that. 9. Your ability to fly makes nova bombing and FoH you guys that much harder. 10. Your ability to throw a hammer at sniper ranges invalidates my sniper shot that does 188 to you since you're able to heal after chucking that hammer. 11. You gain a melee range that rivals BD as a perk. 12. You can insta kill any super before they can kill you. If I activate nova bomb you can still kill me mid super. Same with all other supers making countering you that much harder. With BD I can blink to make space and turn around and dome him, can't do that with an AoE super like that. 13. Fire keeper makes you even more tanky. 14. Flame seeker tracks ten times better than nova bomb does. 15. Simmering flames is pretty much titan exclusive. 16. Your burn lasts for decades. Your subclass is very good, anyone that thinks it's average is an idiot. Your super is ridiculous and can literally be game deciding. My nova bomb can't change the game, BD hardly is a threat, GG is easy to shut down, so is stormcaller, and radiance is a joke. Stop complaining and accept it is indeed overpowered.

                Titan Main here. Sunbreakers are super strong. The average player has no chance against this class. However, I have encountered players that can counter me and get ahead of me on every step I take. They can dodge those Hammer and counter with insane Sniper shots. Even though it's strong, you can deal with it.

                • Are you kidding? Supers can't win a game? All it takes is one good super to change the whole game. One good Sunbreaker super can wipe a team right before heavy allowing you to get both heavy which call for easy kills which brings your teams super back fast which allows you to orb farm. Supers win games. Why do people hate sunsingers in trials? Because of their super. I can't say this enough, supers win games.

                        Lol because hunters can have blink and tripmines and throwing knifes at the same time right? Totally op, well it is if you disregard the fact the warlocks have blink too, fusion grenades are better than tripmines and throwing knifes can't even one shot, so op... Meanwhile you argue that two gg shots is fair enough, when sunbreaker one shots everything in its super. Sunbreaker needs a health reduction when in super, simple as that, or it needs to be a trade off for the health regen. Also if you think supers don't really matter that much then why are you complaining, surely it won't effect any gameplay then right?

                        • Here's PvP end all be all fix (upon entering PvP) Generalize all guns for PvP, Time To Kill from best to lowest (all perks disabled) Rocket Launcher Hand Cannon Shotgun Fusion Rifle Sniper Rifle Light Machine Gun Scout Rifle Pulse Rifle Side Arm Auto Rifle All armor will be cosmetic only with all perks disabled Class perks all disabled except for best class jump, basic melee and basic super. Grenades will be generalized per base class: Titan - Frag Grenade Warlock - Thermite/Napalm Grenade Hunter - Trip Mine All melee skills will have the same range (Hunter Stab) and damage out put - 2 hitter quitter • same applied to swords Everyone's menu light level in PvP will be whatever current patch max possible is (but could be a rating of 1 with the same result) BOOM! Total Freaking Balance!!! TL:DR Copy paste Halo/Counter Strike/Battle Field style FPS PvP with Destiny weapons / armor just being cosmetic.                         • In 3v3 game types especially, HoS is op! They take almost no damage and can spam hammers for days. Nerf the bonus defense and it would be fine. At least by half.

                            "The Super will never win you a game. 90% of the game is being won by weapons and the classes abilities" wrong. in a skirmish match with players of equal or close to equal skill, one well chosen super gains you both heavies. take that times three, and you have a massacre. when a team gets both heavies two times, there is no way you're coming back from that, especially since they took strong primaries out of the game and kids run around with machine guns. nova bomb comes, you can dodge it, and easily kill the person while they're getting it off. bladedancer is easily getting shut down. golden gun is getting sniped, fist of panic is never getting close enough to the heavy to even get that thing off, sith lord is getting sniped...... should i go on? supers completely change destiny. that's why bad players get kills: supers, shotguns, and heavy ammo

                            • If Bungie looks at subclass numbers they will not nerf it. They will address it in an update because so many Hunters cry so loudly that they have to say something. What they will say is this: "After thoroughly counting the numbers across all subclasses we will not be nerfing the hammer of sol super. In fact, we are going to buff the Sunbreakers neutral game and every player who mains a hunter will find a box of digital tissues in their inventory." Also fist of havoc has been buffed to compete with the new subclass. It has double the blast radius and can be used twice in a short amount of time. The damage has been tripled in pve.
