I'll start with saying that I disagree entirely. The game will be just fine in my opinion.
However, if it is not, to answer your question plainly, I will do exactly what I did before Destiny and during my Destiny breaks. I'll play other games (cant wait to get back into Rocket League, honestly), be more social, and continue on with my life.
Edit: to further my comment, let's assume Destiny literally "dies" tomorrow. Now let s fast forward to June, when Destiny 2 is announcef to release in September. Barring something crazy, I would still be one of the first to preorder, i know I will put at least a few days of playtime in to it and have a blast with my friends. I cant say that about just about any other game. Sign me up for that "GameFail"

Edited by THXCrimsonGhost: 11/10/2015 4:16:49 PMDont get me wrong here... I obviously enjoyed destony with my friends and played the hell out of year 1. Year 2 most of my friends have quit, theres the obvious loot problems in the raid that dont need to be addressed here, and then really just a lack of any reason to raid at all cause most bosses drop nothing and when they do its usually lower than what you have and theres no reason other than the raid to be over level 300 so the lack of content after 2 years is annoying. They could have left every daily weekly and nightfall on the lists for variety, but no they make ua repeat boring stuff over and over. I was happy in year 1. When they reset us I was salty but stuck around. Now we are just gettin -blam!-, there is no reason year 1 armor shouldnt be infusable. If someone wanted to infuse a 300 chest into a crota chest why is that an issue? Its not like the items were removed from the game. I liked playing destiny, but I will not defend a game that is going ina direction I disagree with. Thank you for posting something other than "idiot". Have a good day sir.x

My pleasure. I hope to see back with future content...if not, best wishes and enjoy your next endeavors. Take care, Guardian!

You dont sound like a true fanboy sir. Where is the obligatory vitriol that is standard for fanboy posts?

It's because I am a recovering fanboy. I was a fanboy until DB, in denial about the weak story and painful grind. Then I started to open my eyes to the faults in the game. I got frustrated and left in February. In the coming months I realized I missed Destiny. I realized that, for me, Destiny didnt need to be about constant gratification. I didnt care how broken progression was, or how frustrating RNG was, or how unbalanced PvP was. I didnt care how inconsistent Bungie was, or how inaccessible the lore was. I wanted to play with my pals, and despite many of the frustrations, Destiny is a freaking fun co-op game and an air tight FPS. The issues that caused me to leave were still there (many still are), but I am able to see past them now. I came back for TTK, and once I saw the improvements I knew that Bungie could still build on this platform. I expect many of the issues to persist, but Bungie has proven that they are willing to shake things up and try new ideas. I'm no longer a fanboy, I see the imperfections and acknowledge them. But I also see that Bungie is trying. Maybe its not as immediate as we had hoped, but things are improving. They have created a product that, despite the many flaws is still satisfying in so many ways. No other game has produced moments for me as thrilling as killing Atheon and Oryx after running the raid blind for 9 hours with 5 of my best buds. And as long as my friends are playing this game, i will keep coming back for more of the same.
