There has recently been a lot of talk about the Traveler and its origin. Some people are saying that it may be evil, and may be deceiving us guardians. There is a video (i will post a link) of someone stalking some fallen and one of the dregs says something that sounds a lot like "The darkness!" Why would the fallen be calling us the darkness? And if all the other alien races were following the darkness, why would they fight against each other? I've been looking into this a lot and I am becoming more and more fascinated. Think about it. What if the traveler has been to Hive and Fallen planets and destroyed them, now they are following it to get their revenge? The Traveler could be a parasite, going around space and feeding on light of other worlds and destroying them. It could be telling us that it is good, when in reality, the light is actually bad and the darkness is just the wake of its destruction. Think about the guardians. Our names. Hunter, Titan, Warlock. These all have generally negative connotations. Hunters usually lurk in the dark, unseen, their only mission to kill. Warlocks usually wield some sort of dark magic, and the name Warlock means oath-breaker. In greek mythology, Titans were viewed as bad. Think about some names of the enemies. Knight and wizard. Similar in meaning, but they sound positive, honorable. Are we really the good guys?We went around the moon, destroying the hive and shrines to their Gods. We killed their King, who they worshipped. Why? Are the Fallen just after the Traveler because of something it did to them or their home? I have no idea about the Cabal, they seem pretty bad, and the Vex are really confusing. We are an army of undead, destroying other alien races. We wander around the solar system doing whatever our little light tells us to do. We blindly follow the ghosts and the speaker. Is this really what we should be doing? Why did we initially view the other races as evil? What is the true nature of the traveler? What if at the end of Destiny one, you have to pick whether you want to fight for the light, or question the traveler and fight against it? What if there was some arena type battle with everyone and the resulted played a part in the story for Destiny 2? What if the last boss of Destiny is the speaker? WHAT IS GOING ON IM GOING CRAZY I NEED TO KNOW........... What do you guys think? I really like getting into this stuff and just wanting to hear some other opinions. Is the Traveler really what we think it is, or did it cause the collapse but cover it up? Is the light really good? Thanks for reading, sorry it was long :D Let me know what you think.

  • 3 things 1: yes it is if you go in depth and actually pay attention to the grimiore it is almost conclusive in my eyes that it is. 2: this is not recent talk it just is more apparent because game theory did something on it so now most people know about it. I realized it back in November last year. 3: swiggity Swesticle leave this place desticle. Their are 4 forums where you can talk about destiny. #gaming is for games other than destiny. If you browse you will notice not one is about destiny unless it is how destiny will die out with all of these superior games coming out
