Same thing happened to me yesterday !! Although now, in ToO2.0, it eats up the mercy instead of putting a loss on your ticket. However, it's still quite strange that the game messes up something and you get a penalty for that - Bungie please fix this, or at least acknowledge that it's a problem you'll working on !
