I think it will be good, but I seriously doubt it will live up to its hype.

  • Yeah, that'd be my outlook if I was getting it. I have Elite though, that'll do me. On an odyssey to see the galactic core, and the Supermassive Black Hole Sagittarius A*, and The Great Annihilator (best name for a black hole EVER). May check out a few nebulae en route too. The whole trips gonna take me weeks LOL, 50k Light Year round trip, as the crow flies...

  • Is that what elite is? Sounds cool but no mans sky is actually bigger since its non convergent in scale

  • Elite is a scale (yes, 1:1 scale) build of the milky way galaxy. There is a (relatively) small pocket of populated space, and then there is the glorious wilds that Im heading through. Its also very impersonal, and it lives up to its daft tag of 'dangerous'. Jump into the wrong system, and you could be fried by 2 stars that are basically spooning, or you could immediately come face to face with a Neutron Star or Black Hole; you jump into a system at its main sequence star. This is why I scope put each and every jump, and hand-pick my jumps as standard. I am not getting fried when I have several million credits worth of scan data!

  • Cool, what I'm hyped for in NMS is the naming and destruction of finding creatures. I can find one, name it after me, leave, go to another planet and destroy it. Whatever I do remains for others. Plus there are black holes in it too

  • If you destroy something on a planet in no mans sky, as I understand it, when someone else lands the world will be whole. The only change would be the sub name of any species you discovered and named. It all gets made as you enter it from seeds much like how Minecraft worlds are generated.

  • Nope, if you make a little dent in an underwater pebble it will stay that way

  • At about 9:30 they say stuff like shooting a hole in the ground won't remain persistent but destroying space stations and maybe big things on planets will remain

  • I play Elite for the sandbox. Alternating between merc work and deep space exploration. :D
