If you feel this way, then I suggest you stay away from any game that has MMO elements. It's normal for expansions to make existing equipment redundant. One of the longest running MMO's does this with every expansion. WOW, Rift, ESO, Lotro, EQ2, WS, etc all do it, and it's expected. It's new content, new level cap, new gear to be earned. You claimed you were intending to buy TTK to continue your experience? What experience would that be? Straight to end game? You want the new end game, then work your way there, don't expect anyone to give you a boost or carry you. Stop with this self-entitled bullshit.

  • Most MMOs only have an expansion every year or 2. Not 3 times in 1 year. That's what exhausts everyone.

  • You forgot to mention Guild Wars, which RECENTLY released Heart of Thorns; it's FIRST DLC expansion. Oh, and by the way? They made NONE OF THE OLDER GEAR IRRELEVANT. Yes, they added quite a bit of new content but not for a trade-off of rendering older content obsolete or locking the portion of the playerbase out that doesn't have and/or won't buy the new DLC. Just because it might be the " norm " does not make such business practices ethical or acceptable. Must be an amazing, unheard of concept to most people. It isn't being an MMO that is the issue; by the way, Destiny isn't one! It's how the game developers build the game that can make it a good playing experience or a bad one. My experience with Destiny had been fine up until what they've done with TTK. This was never about self-entitled bullshit, wanting the easy way to end game or any utter stupidity like that. This was about simple expectations of a game developer that not only were not met on a reasonable scale, but that game developer screwed over both the game they made AND much of their playerbase with how they executed their latest addition to a game that has already strained the patience and tolerance of said playerbase to the near-max of what they are willing to take both as gamers and as consumers. Don't dump your bullshit on me just because you choose to lie down and simply take it like a whipped dog.
