Bump please, we need this to be a consistent thread. The only way to get them to add this is to create many topics and get them trending quick.
Of course with private matches, kills would not count towards bounties, quests, trophies, and crucible stats.

Bump. This would definitely keep the community playing. It would help non PVP players have a chance to get better. It would allow friends to have fun against each other. It would allow streamers and others in the community to have more interactions. It would allow us to actually wreck scrubs we meet in the crucible or in parties that talk trash. It would boost the overall competitiveness of crucible. This is an awesome idea.
-
But, you would have to host your own server. Bungie doesn't like wasting funds. *Looks at all the money they stole from us* ... Yeah...
-
Well it'll be better, so hell yeah!

This needs to be a thing. I just want to have fun with friends. If they are worried about people cheesing bounties, they could simply disable earning in private matches.
-
This has been needed since launch. Getting a full fire team in rumble is just a inconsistent pain.

Private matches might have made the difference for me. Such an anemic PvE might have been supported by a robust PvP mode. With as much focus as Bungie puts on the Crucible, it isn't unreasonable to expect it to be on par with the rest of the fps genre.
-
Signed. Theater mode would be awesome too. Lots of free advertisement if you need a cash incentive.
-
Been asking since last year, Bungievision don't give a single shit.

Edited by Lousy: 10/21/2015 8:49:13 PMLike others said, no rewards or quest/bounty progression. And then on top of that, we need to be able to disable our HUDs, that way we can make machinima in this game even better! Also, private matches will allow us to test out guns/supers/etc. to see how much damage they do or take. That way we'll know for sure which super or gun is really OP or not. Edit: This would also be great for Twitch Streamers as they would be allowed 11 of their fans to play along/against them, rather than the 5 people that they normally would be allowed.

if you guys get private matches, then PVE gets optional matchmaking for end-game activates
-
This should be a priority.
-
Custom matches are for fun and bungie wants the whole game to be for grind. I might not even switch to halo 5 if destiny had private matches.

Bump!

You can hope for Destiny 2, but I highly doubt original Destiny is going to undergo any more significant changes.
-
We had custom games back in Halo: Reach, why not custom matches to hang out with friends or test guns in Destiny? Bump!
